Description: This participation course is designed for general dentists who are interested in learning about socket preservation and bone grafting techniques. Attendees will learn how to diagnose extraction sites, as well as about the types of bone grafting materials, socket grafting, and other bone grafting techniques. Hands-on bone grafting of sockets will be practiced on plastic models. 

Learning objectives:
  • Understand the differences between various bone grafting materials.
  • Learn simple socket preservation techniques.
  • Review various bone grafting techniques for lateral ridge augmentation and sinus grafting.
  • Practice hands-on bone grafting on models.
Students to bring: Loupes
