Speaker Bio: Potomac, Md.; private practice; owner, Facial Anatomy for Comprehensive Esthetic Seminars (FACES)

Description: This FACES neurotoxin course will include both clinical training as well as a cadaver anatomy review. This participation course will cover mechanism of action of botulinum toxin A (Botox®) and its safety and efficacy, as well as the management and treatment of complications and dilution guidelines. Also, comprehensive information will be offered on proper injection techniques and placement. The hands-on portion of this course will include live patient injections. FACES is currently the only training organization in this discipline that regularly integrates cadaver study with live patient injections.

 Learning objectives: 

  • Be able to identify the areas of the aging face and facial features that could be improved by the use of neurotoxins.
  • Be able to identify muscles of facial expression and mastication in a human cadaver.
  • Be able to explain the neurophysiology associated with neurotoxins.
  • Be able to conduct a thorough patient consultation to evaluate the potential need for neurotoxin treatment.
  • Be able to demonstrate the proper injection technique. 
  • Be able to avoid, recognize, and manage adverse events.

Neurotoxin and Dermal Filler will be available for purchase at the event.
Doctors may also choose to bring their own FDA approved injectables.
