David McConkey is Senior Advisor of Operations and Manager of Cyber Security at the Canadian Gas Association (CGA). His role in operations serves to enhance the safety and integrity of Canada’s natural gas delivery industry via the development of industry best practices and guidance in areas such as measurement, cyber security, corrosion control, damage prevention, and asset management. As Manager of Cyber Security, David is the lead on CGA’s cyber security initiatives including those across industry members as well as those with government partners. Prior to joining CGA, David taught financial mathematics and project management and consulted for High Park Group, a public affairs firm which performs within the energy sector. He graduated with distinction from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Mathematics, majoring in Applied Mathematics and minoring in Philosophy. In 2006, David obtained a Masters of Electrical Engineering from McGill University in the Optimal Control of Hybrid Systems.
