Lynsey Herdman (Chair)

I have worked in the Childcare Industry for 17 years across a variety of settings and moved in to work based learning nearly 12 years ago, as an Assessor. I am passionate about quality delivery of Apprenticeships across the Health, Social Care and Childcare sectors.
I managed the Apprenticeship delivery of Health, Social Care and Childcare within CTS Training and was with the company for 9 years as an Assessor, IQA and Operations Manager. I am now starting a new role with Babington as Operational Business Manager from May 2017.
I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies from Sheffield Hallam University and have lived in the city since starting my degree in 2001.



Claire Montague
CACHE

Claire is a subject specialist at CACHE with key involvement in the development of new qualifications, quality and training. She has been instrumental in the development of the new CACHE Level 3 Award, Certificate and Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Her previous work history lies in both management of health and social care provision and experience in the education sector.







Cheryl Swales

Based in the North East, Cheryl joined AELP as Project Manager on 14th December 2015 bringing with her 14 years’ experience of working in the education sector; seven years’ experience an awarding organisation and a further seven years’ experience working as a Manager and Head of Delivery in two Independent Training Providers. Cheryl is also a qualified Tutor, Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer and holds a BA (Hons) in Educational Studies. In her role as Project Manager Cheryl works with the delivery team.

Anna Sutton

Anna has been working in the FE and skills sector for over 20 years in Training and Enterprise Councils, a Chamber of Commerce, the LSC and most recently the Skills Funding Agency. Anna has a proven track record for developing and implementing skills funding policies including co-investment approaches, Apprenticeships, Adult Education Budget and Advanced Learner Loans. For the past 12 months Anna has been an Associate for the Learning and Work Institute delivering its flagship programme Ambition London where Anna continues to work closely with providers, employers and Government.



Jane Jones

Jane Jones is NOCN's Deputy Managing Director and Director of Business Development. She has worked in various positions in sectors including sustainable tourism, education and social care. Jane joined NOCN in 2006 and her specialism is in qualification and assessment development, she directs NOCN's Apprenticeship Assessments, working with senior decision makers in key sectors to ensure effective service delivery.



Tracey Nicholson
Project Manager – SLQA
Standards Learning Qualifications and Apprenticeships


Tracey started working life in the sector as a Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse many years ago. During her time she became involved with training and supporting YTS students which led onto assessing, training and verification qualifications. Tracey has worked for learning providers, local authority education teams and Skills for Health. Her passion is working with people who support others to ensure people who use services get a quality provision. Tracey has two children, lives in Northumberland, and is looking forward to getting married next year.
