Amit Jiwani
Director Analytics
Surgical Information Systems & AmkaiSolutions
As part of the Client Services team, Amit Jiwani helps SIS clients better manage their perioperative business through improved visibility to the data and leveraging business intelligence technology. His team works with clients to implement SIS Analytics, train end-users, and consult with hospital management teams using actionable information to drive operational efficiency, financial success, and clinical excellence. He is a frequent author and speaker on the topic of perioperative analytics. Prior to SIS, Amit was with The Advisory Board Company in the perioperative business intelligence practice. In this role, he provided clients with analysis of their operations and best practices to affect positive and sustainable change. Amit received his Masters of Public Health from Boston University.
 
Carolyn Cordtz
Director of Product Innovation
Surgical Information Systems
Employed by Surgical Information Systems in the position of Director of Product Innovation. As a former OR nurse, Ms. Cordtz applies her real-world knowledge of perioperative clinical workflows to her role of Director of Product Innovation. In this role, Ms. Cordtz is responsible for assessing market needs to determine problems that can be solved by technology. Prior to this role, Ms. Cordtz served SIS as Clinical Product Manager and Implementation Consultant. Education: University of Virginia, Bachelor of Science, Nursing, 2008
 
Daren Smith
Senior Clinical Solutions Specialist
AmkaiSolutions
Daren Smith is the Senior Clinical Solutions Specialist for AmkaiSolutions. In this role, Daren serves as a product and industry subject matter expert, frequently speaking at industry events and contributing to industry publications such as Becker’s ASC Review and ASC Focus Magazine. Previously, Daren worked as the director of clinical services for Surgical Management Professionals (SMP), an ASC and surgical hospital management and development company. Daren has also held the position of director of outpatient services for Avera McKennan Hospital, administrator and CEO of Fremont Surgical Center, and nurse manager at Grand Island Surgery Center. 

He is a graduate of Clarkson College and the University of South Dakota.
 
Jessica Rutters
Administrator
Kingsport Day Surgery
Jessica is the Administrator at Kingsport Day Surgery (KDS), a Medicare-approved, Joint Commission-accredited ASC has more than 50 credentialed multi-specialty providers in Tennessee. They offer services in specialties including ENT, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, and urology, and have performed procedures on patients as young as six months and as old as 90 years. KDS went live with AmkaiCharts EMR and AmkaiOffice business management solution in October 2012.

Over the past four years, Jessica Rutters has found a number of ways to enhance her and her staff’s experience using information technology (IT) systems while maximizing their benefits. Here are five steps she recommends others consider to maximize their own experience with their software solutions.
 
Jolene Piersanti

Jolene Piersanti is the SIS Solution Manager at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital’s New Brunswick campus. RWJ is considered to be one of New Jersey’s premier health system’s with over 10,000 employees, 3,250 medical personnel and over 1,700 beds. The health system has generated $1.5 Billion in revenue and was identified as one of the top 10 hospitals in the nation for clinical quality by the Commonwealth Fund. 

At GO!2017, Jolene will teach the audience how you can use SIS Trax to replace paper-based tissue management processes with more efficient electronic tracking.
 
Norma Street
SIS Administrator
National Institutes of Health

Norma Street has been SIS Administrator at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the past four year where she has helped implement SIS analytics to help the Department of Perioperative Medicine (DPM) access interactive dashboards that allow them to quickly, easily, and reliably draw insights about their operational, financial, and clinical performance.

She has worked in clinical informatics for the past 7 years and has over 25 years of nursing experience. Ms. Street earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing Informatics at the University of Maryland Baltimore. 

 
Thomas Pinelli
Director, Product Management, AmkaiCharts

Tom’s enthusiastic demeanor, excellent analytical skills, and outstanding interpersonal skills ideally suit him to serve as the Director of Product Management for AmkaiCharts. He loves working in a collaborative team environment where he is truly inventive in creating solutions for clinical applications while improving user satisfaction, enhancing patient safety, and improving full time employee efficiency. Tom holds a Master’s Degree in computer science with an extensive background in ambulatory healthcare and surgery. Extremely proficient in peri-operative / peri-anesthesia nursing workflow.
 
Todd Logan
Senior Vice President

With over fifteen years of experience in healthcare, Todd Logan leads the AmkaiSolutions sales team in delivering comprehensive information technologies to ASCs and surgical hospitals, helping them achieve their goal of delivering safer care while maximizing productivity and profitability. Over his career, Mr. Logan has held numerous roles in healthcare IT, including implementations, product development, ASC administration, and sales leadership. Before joining Amkai, Mr. Logan served as Vice President of Business Development for Partners Medical Consulting while also holding an administrative position with a multi-specialty ASC. Previously, he held the position of Regional Vice President of Sales for Source Medical. Mr. Logan holds an undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University and a MBA with a Healthcare Management emphasis from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. He is also a Six Sigma Green Belt and Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC).
 
Tom Dawson
Lead Clinical Database Administrator
National Institutes of Health

Tom Dawson has been the Lead Clinical Database Administrator at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for over 14 years. He has worked closely with their SIS, and other clinical systems. This includes their hospital EMR (CRIS/SCM), ProVation imaging, and Barcode systems. He holds certifications with Microsoft MSCE, MCSA, Oracle OCP, and Cisco CCNA. He also taught classes for Nortel Networks on their telecommunication equipment
