The incidence of active shooter scenarios has unfortunately become more prevalent in both public and private settings. Jin Kim, widely known as a subject matter expert and material practitioner in active shooter and target violence attacks, will lead discussions on preparedness. Kim retired from the FBI in 2018 as a twenty-three year veteran from the New York Division, where he served as the Active Shooter Coordinator on the Crisis Management Unit and more.

While coordinating with first responders is essential, new technologies like Virtual Reality based training can prepare people to recognize an active shooting and make the right decisions. The immersive platform of Virtual Reality can provide users with a visceral experience to condition survival reactions. Join us to explore how this emerging technology can enhance preparedness.
