Mike Cox, Webinar Chair

Operations Manager, Association of Employment and Learning Providers  

After 13 years in retail purchasing and supply, Mike became an assessor for apprenticeships with TBG Learning in 1999. He soon moved onto various development roles with learndirect, RNID and then LSN where he headed up the bidding and development team, helping design support programmes and research in areas including Train to Gain, Citizenship, Diplomas, Key Skills, Functional Skills and Foundation Learning. He joined AELP in February 2013.

Mike is married with 2 children and lives in rural Kent.



  

David Gaughan

Director of Apprenticeships at Leeds City College

As a senior leader David has over 15 years of experience in forming public/private sector led partnerships to support Apprenticeship and has lead responsibility for Apprenticeship at Leeds City College. David has managed a portfolio of skills contracts to value £165m and shaped the skills landscape through his work in Apprenticeship, FE capital and FE mergers at the Learning and Skills Council. David was part of the project team which established the National Apprenticeship Service and then moved into the service as part of its employer team for Yorkshire and Humber a post he held prior to joining Leeds City College.
