From the New York Institute of Finance, a Financial Times company
Wednesday, March 18, 2015 | 7:45 am - 8:45 am

Following recent high profile cyber attacks on JP Morgan, Target, and others, cybersecurity has become a top priority for virtually all U.S. organizations and their respective boards. However, tackling this problem can be extremely challenging, because the underlying components of a solution are so technical.

C-Suite and Board members need to understand a variety of issues in compliance and operational risk and so the New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) is proud to offer a one-hour cybersecurity Masterclass in conjunction with FT Live. The class will teach best practice in regulatory and operational frameworks for managing the different types of cybersecurity attacks and how this fits into other risk oversight by a Board. Loss of customer confidence and harm to reputation can cost severely in harm to a company's stock price and long term prospects. Crucial learning's from the Masterclass will review the financial regulators approach to cybersecurity and the expected impact on the Financial Services Industry (where 37% of breaches take place). NIST's Cybersecurity framework and the operational implementation issues this raises. NYIF Faculty instructing the Masterclass will be the NYSE's Ex CEO of Regulation, Claudia Crowley, and the ex CTO of JP Morgan and BP, Jim Noble. Additionally, this class will provide a technical “jargon-buster” and a clear guidebook for asking the right questions when engaging with company technical experts to ensure effective risk management.

Cybersecurity is a threat that no executive can afford to ignore, so give yourself a unique advantage through this one-of-a-kind opportunity to receive personalized advice from world-renowned experts.
