2017 March Education Event

Wanted at March 8 event:
Unwanted T-shirts & Socks for Humane Rescue Alliance

The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA, formally the Washington, DC, Humane Society and Washington, DC, Rescue League) serves more than 60,000 animals a year, without ever turning a D.C. animal away. With more than 30 animals coming in on average each day, HRA always needs toys so that they can keep our animals engaged and at their most adoptable!

So, what do we need to do to gear up for this community service project? We need to start collecting unwanted clean T-shirts and socks. They recycle these materials to build toys for dogs and cats. Please bring these items to the chapter’s first education event on Wednesday, March 8, at the Sheraton Tysons Hotel.
