Outline: The two and a half hour workshop will cover: - The rationale for developing best practice and the business case for adopting it - What could happen to your business if you don't act now - Details on the three elements in addressing tip-overs (design, anchoring and consumer action), and what retailers and suppliers need to do in practical terms - Clear steps to implementing best practice, including discussion on any perceived roadblocks to implementation and how to address them Objectives & Learning Outcomes By attending the workshop, participants will be able to outline and explain: - The rationale for tip-over prevention measures - Ways to avoid tip-overs - Principles of design and anchoring - Any impediments to implementing best practice in their workplace - Their personal implementation action plan Specialist Presenter Gail Greatorex runs her own consumer product safety and design advisory business in Melbourne. Gail has more than 25 years experience in the field, working with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission until 2012. Gail's business, Product Safety Solutions, provides training, advice and advocacy for product suppliers and other organisations on product hazard assessment and safety compliance. Gail chaired the National Retail Association's working group that developed the 'Furniture and TV Tip-over Prevention Best Practice Guide'.
