| James Coutts Executive Director, Planning Services Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning James has more than thirty years experience as a planner and is currently the Executive Director of Planning Services in the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning. James joined the department in February 2010 to promote the development of key planning projects. Immediately prior to joining the department, James was the Director of Planning at the Urban Land Development Authority. James has also worked in the private sector as the Director of Planning for EDAW and in the Commonwealth and local governments. | |
| Chris Isles Director and Principle PLACE Design Group Chris is a Director of PLACE and the Principal of their Brisbane Office. As a town planner, he has an excellent understanding of the realities, pressures and processes associated with project feasibility, construction, and market conditions gained through many years experience in the planning and development industry. Chris provides his clients with development and planning advice on the acquisition, design, approval and sale of development sites and projects. He is currently working on projects and policy dealing with key issues such as housing affordability, infrastructure charges, housing diversity, master planned communities and transit orientated development. He has been a regular writer and speaker on topics such as TODs, infrastructure charges and planning reform. | |
