FT GAS SUMMIT
23 October 2014 | One Great George Street, London #FTGas

Europe faces significant energy challenges. High energy prices-in part a factor of dwindling indigenous resources and growing import dependency-are damaging economic prospects of the region, particularly at a time when a shale boom has transformed the competitiveness of the region’s main trading partner, the US. Diversifying the portfolio of suppliers, particularly of gas, is seen as vital to the region’s future.

Much hope is rested in the potential of new LNG supplies and the development of indigenous shale resources in Europe, yet a host of political, financial and operational challenges raise questions about whether the expected growth in supply will materialise, and if so, at what cost. What will be the role for gas in Europe? Will Russia’s dominance of Europe’s energy markets persist?

We hope you will join us at this preeminent summit for what promises to be an engaging and insightful day...
