Pre-Session I: Unraveling the Mystery: Social Media - What's an Employer To Do

Social media is here to stay. Do you question how to handle this growing phenomenon in your work setting? The facts and figures are staggering as to the usage of social networking. This seminar will explore the benefits and pitfalls of social media policies in the workplace. Generational characteristics will be discussed in relation to the need for social media policies. Conflict management tips will be introduced to assist participants with issues when they arise.  1 hour session.

Pre-session II: Reveal: Next Steps for GHS (Chemical Hazard Communication Standard) 

Chemicals have utility & benefits but also the potential to cause adverse effects such as health hazards and physical dangers. The Hazard Communication Standard has been revised to align with the UN Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. Get a review of GHS and changes to the OSHA 1910.1200 standard and how it applies to your place of business: new labeling requirements, safety data sheet format, training requirements, implementation target dates within the standard, and tips on how to comply and improve the quality and consistency of hazard information in your workplace.
