Alex joined the Emerging Solutions group of BJC Healthcare in February 2012.  Alex has over 15 years of experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.  Prior to BJC Healthcare, Alex was a technical lead and scrum master in the library automation industry with SirsiDynix managing a Digital Asset Management product involving Android, iOS and search engine development.  At BJC Healthcare, Alex is currently managing several mobility development projects as well as Meaningful Use EHR integration projects.




Jesse Demmel

Jesse is the Vice President, Engineering and is responsible for all engineering development at MapMyFitness. He’s been with MapMyFitness since September 2010. Prior to joining the team, Jesse led engineering at Useful Networks (a Liberty Media company) and was also a technical lead at Intuit and Openwave. Jesse has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and is based in Denver, CO.





Nitin Gupta

Nitin Gupta is Director of Industry Marketing at Box, and is leading its professional services vertical.  Prior to Box, Nitin was the founder of LawPivot, the largest online marketplace for consumers and businesses to connect with lawyers.  LawPivot, which was recently acquired, was funded by Google Ventures and has been featured in many industry leading publications including Law.com, ABA Journal, and Daily Journal.  Prior to LawPivot, Nitin practiced law as an intellectual property lawyer at Townsend and Townsend, a top national intellectual property law firm.  Nitin has authored many articles on legal technology related matters in leading publications and is a frequent panelist on emerging legal technologies.




Ben Haines

A transformational CIO, Ben is focused on liberating companies from the legacy world of expensive and unproductive Enterprise Software and Information Technology. As the first VP IT/CIO for Box Ben is responsible for building out the Enterprise IT function utilizing the existing suite of cloud based solutions and enhancing where needed. Prior to joining Box Ben was the CIO for Pabst Brewing Co. where he transformed the traditional IT infrastructure and application environment into a service orientated organization delivering business value. Prior to Pabst Ben spent 9 years with Red Bull leading teams across Asia Pacific, Europe and Americas. With grounding in ITSM Ben quickly moved into the application and BI space delivering mobile applications, BI solutions and a global portal and a collaboration platform.


 
Robin Layland

Robin Layland has been at the forefront of networking as a consultant and analyst and as a leader in the corporate world for more than 30 years. During each stage of his career, he has worked at implementing new technology. As an industry analyst and president of Layland Consulting, he has covered all aspects of networking from both a business and technical side. He has published over 100 articles in leading trade journals including Network World, Business Communication Review, Network Magazine and Data Communication. In the 1990s, Robin was instrumental in moving corporations to IP. He spent a combined fifteen years at American Express and Travelers Insurance in a wide range of jobs, including network architect, technical support, management, programming, performance analysis and capacity planning.


 
Irwin Lazar

Irwin Lazar is the Vice President and Service Director at Nemertes Research, where he manages overall research operations, develops and manages research projects, develops cost models, conducts strategic seminars, and advises clients. Irwin is responsible for benchmarking the adoption and use of emerging technologies in the enterprise in areas including VOIP, unified communications, video conferencing, social computing, collaboration, and advanced network services.





Sam O'Daniel

Sam has worked at a variety of companies large and small, where his primary focus is simplification of processes, systems, and infrastructure. After receiving a BA in English/Creative Writing at San Diego State University, Sam worked at a Mac-only chain in the San Francisco Bay area before moving on to software sales at Dantz Development, a backup software company. Sam was transferred within the company to webmaster assistant, where his interest in technological infrastructure grew. After moving back to Colorado in 2002, Sam focused on internal IT and sought to elevate his managerial and strategic planning skills, enrolling in 2007 at the University of Denver, where he completed his Masters in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Information Systems.

Charles has been an IT and business journalist for more than 20 years.
