General

The Grand Hotel Excelsior is located just outside the city walls of Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the capital city of Malta. The hotel is 7kms from the airport, a transfer time of approx 10-15 minutes. The hotel is a 10-minute walk to Valletta.

The hotel has 4 restaurants: 2 indoor restaurants, the Yacht Club located by the pool and the Tiki Bar and Restaurant by the sea. Wi-fi is available throughout the hotel and is free of charge. The hotel has free parking. If you require parking please mention under "Special Requirements" when you book the hotel.

Leisure

There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a small private beach. The Heath club has a fully equipped gym with sauna and steam room. Le Grand Spa & Wellness Centre offers massage and beauty treatments. The hotel also has a 30-berth marina.

Guest Rooms

All rooms have a balcony with a stunning sea view over to the Marsamxett Harbour and Manoel Island. All rooms are comfortable and spacious with tea/coffee facilities, bathrobe and slippers.

Delegates wishing to stay extra nights need to pay a supplement per night of:

Airport Transportation:

The IFA will arrange a coach shuttle service between the airport and hotel on Wednesday and Friday, subject to delegates sending us their flight information. The times of this service will be sent to you a couple of weeks before the conference. A taxi between the airport and hotel will cost around €15.
