Richard Aaron, CMP, CSEP, President, BizBash Media
This former Broadway musical actor is acknowledged as one of the foremost experts in pioneering the modern event industry. Often called the King of Edutainment for his high-energy presentations he is a much sought after presenter.  Currently president of BizBash Media, Richard manages all tradeshows, conferences and award shows annually in 9 markets for the organization.

Richard was the founding president of the New York Chapter of ISES and the International Special Event Society. Richard has served on both the MPI’s and ISES’s International Board of Directors.
He established the first charitable Foundation named The SEARCH Foundation for the Event Industry and has served on the boards of The MPI Foundation and ISES Education Foundations and is new Chair of the Green Meeting Industry Foundation.

Richard is an adjunct associate professor at New York University Tisch Center for Hospitality and The George Washington University where he teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses.  He developed the first online event management courses and other curricula in hospitality. Richard had chaired the Convention Industry Council’s APEX Education Advisory Council in 2007- 2008 comprised with University hospitality department directors from across the US.

Richard has been named MPI’s International Planner of the Year and Event Solution’s Visionary and was recently inducted into the NY MPI Hall of Fame and most recently a recipient of the newest MPI RISE awards for continued professional innovation. He serves on numerous boards such as NACE Advisory Board to name a few.
 
He has been called a Visionary by Event Solutions, Guru of Events by Meeting News Magazine, Event Impresarios by Special Event Magazine and this Spring  Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh will award him the title of “Legendary Luminary of Planned Events .
   
Liz Glover Wilson, CMP, CSEP,  Founder and President, Elizabeth Rose Consulting, LLC
Liz Glover Wilson, CMP, CSEP, founded Elizabeth Rose Consulting, LLC with the vision of utilizing her years of fundraising expertise, volunteer coordination and event management to make a positive impact in our world. Her daily commitment is to offer services that are geared towards rejuvenating and sustaining fundraising efforts for local non-profits. 

 
Under her direction, Elizabeth Rose Consulting – a boutique consultancy – has supported 13 clients and 3 philanthropic partnerships since 2009, helping raise over $9 Million in funding for critical programs and special projects. This has been achieved through consulting services that include strategic fundraising planning, major gift solicitation, management of sponsorship and in-kind support, engagement with Board and Committee members and effective donor cultivation events.
 
Liz’s non-profit experience started early in life, while as a young girl she worked side by side with her parents to implement and run various community outreaches through her church. Before starting ERC, Liz spent nearly 17 years building her expertise in communications, event marketing, staff management and business development. She spent nearly 14 of those years at a real estate investment firm as VP of Corporate Events, where she developed a successful charitable foundation from the ground up, giving her a strong understanding of the various growth stages non-profits experience. During this time, she dedicated 10 years to serving on a non-profit board, which gave her understanding of the complexities of navigating non-profit leadership and insight on ways to energize volunteers.
 
Liz holds a B.A. in Business Management from Mercy College and has a background in the fine arts. She is a registered fundraiser with the State of New York and speaks at conferences on non-profit and event management topics. She is Past President of the ISES New York Chapter and is a proud member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals. She is a CMP (Certified Meeting Planner) and CSEP (Certified Special Events Professional). She is a dedicated philanthropist and leader in her industry.
   
Van Allen Rice, CMP, CSEP, Bestek Lighting & Staging
In 1972 Van graduated from Hofstra University with a BA in Economics. After completing active duty in the United Sates Coast Guard (Honorably Discharged) he spent a year touring and performing as a bass guitarist and vocalist .
 
Van founded BESTEK in 1974, a company which has grown to include all phases of design and technical production support including equipment for events and shows of all descriptions. These include the 125th Anniversary of Coca Cola, 18 years of partnership with the NFL supporting the annual Super Bowl Owner’s Party ( 5000 guests, invitation only), the launch of the HTC Opt 1 phone, multiple Annual Hofstra University Alumni Galas, and many other annual fund raisers and corporate events.
 
Van’s specialty is using his theatrical background, problem solving ability and design sense both in lighting and scenery to engineer and create settings which capture the designer’s concepts and the client’s dreams.
 
Van, a founding member of ISES has served the New York Metropolitan Chapter as treasurer and as president and is also a member of PLASA, the international theatrical dealers association. He served for several years on the ISES Ethics Committee and has taught courses in technical event production at NYU. He lives on Long Island with his wife Fran.
   
Deb Roth, Creative-Director-To-Go
In my new position as a Creative-Director-To-Go, I'm available for any type of PROJECT from conception to strategy to execution or as a connector, consultant or resource for original, innovative Ideas in all aspects of the events industry and beyond!
 


Debra lives New York City so she's continually exposed to some of the greatest and most prolific visual design work going on in the world today. As well, she regularly travels the country observing and analyzing visual design at a tremendous amount of shows and exhibits. She contributes to the design community by sharing her wealth of knowledge through speaking engagements and product endorsements. And as a Creative Industrial Designer, Debra is responsible for a variety of product lines, all informed by her vast knowledge in Event Design and Live Experiences.

In addition, Debra's work in experiential and live marketing, as well as show production combined with her expertise in technology, design trends and social media marketing, truly allows her to add a special and unique creativity to all her projects. And her value doesn't end there -- Debra is totally connected - one of the most socially networked people in the business today. Jennifer Claire Scott, Production Manager, Empire Force Events
Jennifer Claire Scott, Production Manager, joined the Empire Force Events family in January of 2007.  She brought with her a decade and a half of Event Industry experience that encompassed the worlds of not-for-profit museums, hospitality/tourism, sports/entertainment, and experiential marketing.  By chance and circumstance, Jennifer Claire has also become an expert of sorts in Risk Management for the Special Events Industry.
 
At Empire Force Events, a renowned Event Design and Production company with a sub specialty in Destination Management Services, Jennifer Claire serves as lead Producer for a wide variety of corporate events and experiences.  She has produced multiple vehicle ride and drive events for Chrysler LLC, product launches for companies such as Sony Electronics and Breguet watches, and managed transportation and destination experiences for programs such as the Turner Networks Latin American Upfront.  Most recently Jennifer Claire was proud to be a part of the formation of Empire Force’s newest endeavor, a multi-day food and luxury lifestyle experience, Flavors of Fort Lauderdale.
 
An active member of the International Special Events Society (ISES) since 2001, Jennifer Claire has served in multiple ISES leadership positions, including: NY Metro Chapter President, 2006 – 2007; ISES International Marketing / Communications Committee 2006 – 2008; 2009 Northeast Regional Education Conference Chair. She also spent three years (2010-2012) working on the ISES Eventworld committee, serving as the International Conference Chair for the 25th anniversary celebration. She received the ISES NY Metro Chapter Spirit award in 2003.
 
Jane T. White, CSEP, Event Manager, Virginia Beach Convention Center
Jane White, CSEP joined the staff at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in July 2004 as an Event Manager. Previously, she held positions at St. John’s University, Catering by Framboise and Columbia University.  In March of 2010, Jane completed the 1031 Fire Inspector Course for the State of Virginia.  She completed the George Washington University Certificate in Event Management in 1997.  She earned her Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) in 2001 and re-certified in 2007 and 2012. She was awarded the “Organization Planner of the Year 2003” Spotlight Award for Event Solutions Spotlight Awards. Jane has been a member of International Special Event Society (ISES) since 1996 and served in numerous leadership positions – New York Metro Chapter President (2001-2003) and Northeast Regional Vice President (2004-2005) and currently serves on the board of the Hampton Roads Chapter.   She served in the United States Navy/Naval Reserve for 21 years and retired in 2005 as a Sonar Technician Chief Petty Officer.  Jane holds a B.A. in Comparative History, Ideas and Culture from the State University of New York, College at Old Westbury and took graduate level courses in European History at Columbia University. Jane has been a speaker at a variety of conferences on safety and special events both in the special event world as well as at the Virginia Fire Chiefs Association conference and as a guest speaker at the 1031 certification course on the topic of special events and the fire code.
 
   
  Kevin White, Founder and Chief Strategist, XPL
For over seventeen years, Kevin has been designing and producing corporate experiences world-wide.  His portfolio includes large-scale marketing events, corporate initiatives and immersive New York city experiences for Fortune 100 companies.   His current endeavor, XPL, delivers innovation to the experiential industry and its products by rethinking how organizations develop ideas.

He is an International Special Events Society ISES past president of both the Philadelphia and New York Metro chapters, has served as the chair of its international Certification Committee, and is serving as an international officer of the association.

Kevin is an Adjunct Professor at New York University in the Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management school and has been a presenter at university campuses and event industry conferences throughout the world on various event topics.  Most recently, Kevin has been working with industry organizations, facilitating internal meetings to help them break new ground of thought.

Brian Winthrop, CMP, CSEP, President, Big Wave Event Productions, LLC
In 1980, Brian Winthrop co-founded EWI (Epstein Winthrop International, Ltd.) after a two year stint at New Line Cinema.   The presentation based agency out of NYC had sales in excess of $.5 million its first year and Winthrop bought his partner out changing the name to BWI.   Key exclusive clients included:
G. Gordon Liddy, Dr. Timothy Leary, Jerry Rubin, Senator Birch Bayh, Shere Hite, Lisa Birnbach and Franken & Davis (Senator Al Franken).
 
In 1983, Winthrop was associate producer of Return Engagement a feature film directed by Alan Parker, about the tour debate between Timothy Leary and G. Gordon Liddy; he had a cameo appearance in the film with Arnold Schwarzenegger.  Also in 1983 BWI started touring Wild Video Dance Party® and the Big Surf Drive-In® Movie to thousands of colleges and universities nationwide. He closed a $350,000 promotion contract with Kodak, producing and touring a multi-media show entitled Earthwalk.  EW featured 3,500 slides taken by the Walker Brothers with music by Pink Floyd and the Allan Parson’s Project narrated by Orson Wells. Also in 1983, Brian co- produced, Shades of Harlem, an off Broadway show that toured Europe as well. 
 
In 1984 BWI started a Performing Arts Division and toured Lazer Zeppelin, Boys Choir of Harlem, Boston Chamber Music Society, Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the National Theater and Dance Company of Gambia, David Brenner, and many of the cast members from Saturday Night Live.
 
In 1987, Winthrop signed a $2.5 million contract with Coca-Cola, USA touring Club Coca-Cola ® (AKA Wild Video Dance Party) to 2,500 sites nationwide.   He closed Panasonic Industrial and their newly found RAMSA division as a second tier sponsor and tied the promotion together with Coca-Cola, VP of Public Affairs, Tony Tortoricci, with Special Olympics as the beneficiary.
 
Starting in 1992, WVDP became a hit in the corporate market performing at numerous tech and pharmaceutical events including the closing entertainment event at  the Microsoft World Wide Global Summit for five years in a row as well at PCMA, Special Events and MPI.
 
In 1993 Brian became Treasurer of NY Metro ISES and served as President for two terms from 1995 to 1997.  Winthrop recalls advancing his own money to finance the early ISES meetings and when he left office the treasury had a $10,000 surplus.
 
Brian coupled with his wife Mariella founded Big Wave Event Productions, LLC in 1996.  Big Wave is one of the leading event production firms in the northeast and prides itself in maintaining state-of-the-art inventory of line array audio, HD video, LED and intelligent lighting, trussing and motors as well as a large selection of stretch fabrics and drapery.  Big Wave produces large scale general sessions, benefits & fundraisers, product launches, fashion shows and Club Big Wave.
 
In 2010, Winthrop started Big Wave LED creating its own line of LED lighting fixtures as well as installing AV and lighting equipment in the education market.  Current projects include six digit contracts with Yale University and Choate Rosemary Hall.
 
Brian Winthrop his partner and wife of twenty-six years, Mariella Winthrop, reside in Roxbury, Connecticut and have four children and two grandchildren.  His interests are sailing, skiing, horseback riding, Yoga, cooking and reading. Brian Winthrop donates a variety of Big Wave events to nonprofits raising in excess of $100,000 annually.
   
Mark Zettler, President, Life O’ The Party
 In 1980, Mark founded Life O' The Party to provide novelty entertainment, singing telegrams and balloon deliveries.  The business was started with just a gorilla suit and a telephone.  Today, Mark along with his wife Andrea, run one of the oldest and largest companies of its kind in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area.  Life O' The Party (http://www.lotparty.com) , along with their other company, Balloonacy now offer balloon decor and deliveries, novelty telegrams, DJ's, wholesale balloon supplies (http://260balloons.com ), and hundreds of party entertainers.

Mark and Andrea have been dedicated to events for balloons, décor and entertainment for the past 30 years.

An ISES member since 1997, he has served on the NY Metro Board for seven years, including President during the Chapter’s first ever Chapter of the Year honors.

As an instructor Mark, along with his wife Andrea, has been teaching across the USA for fifteen years on balloons arts, Bar and Bat Mitzvah events, marketing and more. He has been a guest speaker for ISES at Eventworld in Hollywood, CA, at the first ever Event Solutions Expo in Baltimore, MD, and for the Philadelphia and Syracuse ISES Chapters.
