CME Statement

The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AACE designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This Live activity, SCOPE: Successful Co-management between Primary Care and Endocrinology, from 12/07/2019 - 03/07/2020, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 6.50 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Criteria for successful completion of this program includes completing the pre-test, participating in the session(s) at the conference, scoring 80% or higher on the post-test and completing the program evaluation.


Maintenance of Certification

Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 6.5 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.

Your participation information will be shared with the ACCME, which will in turn report your points to ABIM. Successful completion of a course examination is required to earn ABIM MOC points.

Applicants for certification through the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) may claim up to 1.25 Group Two CME credits toward the ABOM requirement when providing a transcript from the meeting that shows attendance at the sessions listed under the Obesity track.

  • Identify key aspects of the workup for the given endocrine disorder
  • Explain aspects of patient presentation and/or course that necessitate referral to an endocrinologist
  • Summarize key characteristics of evidence-based assessment and treatment options for the given disorder
  • Formulate a management plan that includes steps/strategies supporting optimal PCP-endocrinologist collaboration
