| Adriana Canales Magistrada del Poder Judicial From Saltillo Coahuila. Adriana Canales studied at the Faculty of Jurisprudence of the Autonomous University of Coahuila, where she received her law degree in 1979. She obtained a Master Degree in Policy and Government in Latin America from the University of Essex in England. She has obtained different diplomas in Comparative Law Mexico-United States, in Judicial Psychology from the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM), and a Diploma in Legal Advances in Human Cloning through the International Organization of Postgraduates Studies in Law. She has recently been involved in the following courses: Courses on Psychology and Family law against Interfamily violence from the Centro de Convivencia Familiar from the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City, the Judiciary Council and the Institute of Judicial Studies; Courses on Children’s rights and access to justice taught by the Supreme Court of Justice, as well as a course on Mediation taught by the University of Barcelona in Spain. Additionally, she attended courses on forensic psychology specialised in girls, boys and adolescents taught by the Supreme Court. Since 2004 she has participated in several international seminars of judges operators of the Hague Conventions on International Child Protection and International Judicial Cooperation. The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed her in 2007 as the Judge in charge of the International connection to facilitate the information exchange and cooperation regarding the application of the 1980 Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. She was professor at the Institute of Legal Research at UNAM in different courses, among them on interfamily violence and child protection. She was also professor at ITAM and at CIDE, where she published the book on civil law “Family law: cases and problems to teach law” together with Diego Galer. She has also been author of different articles, among them, “Right of cross-border contact” in the book “The International Restitution of Childhood, an Ibero-American Perspective”, compiled by Lázaro Tenorio and Graciela Tagle, as well as in in the Journal of Private International Law of the UNAM and in the Mexican Journal of Comparative International Law.
During the last years she has been lecturer on different subjects, including interdiction and the perspective of judges about international restitution of minors, among others. She joined the Superior Court of Justice of the Federal District in 1989 to the Direction of Jurisprudence and the judicial newsletter. Since 2000 Adriana Canales is Magistrate of the Third Chamber on Family Law. She collaborated as unique local judge in Ramos Arizpe in the Superior Court of Coahuila in the Direction of Prevention and Social Rehabilitation. She also worked at the Faculty of Political Science in UNAM, at the Ministry of Energy, in the General Direction of Land Regularization of the Federal District and at the Ministry of the Interior. | |

| Irene Espinosa Subgobernadora Banco de México In the international filed, in 2001, Irene was appointed as Senior Counselor of the Office of the Executive Director for Mexico and the Dominican Republic of the Inter-American Development Bank, for a period of 6 years. Within her extracurricular activities, Irene has been an advocate to promote and increase the participation of women in leadership and decision making positions. From March of 2016, she has gathered a group of leading women to create the Comisión de Mujeres Líderes por una Economía Incluyente (MULEI), an organism belonging the Federación de Colegios de Economistas de la República Mexicana, to foster dialogue with institutions and key actors on the benefits of diversity and participation of women in the economy, as well as to make them visible.
