Can we offer our communities a greater say in determining how our funds are allocated? What benefits might that offer us and how could we get started? Building on the successful exploration of participatory funding models the Waikato Funders' Network undertook with Vodafone NZ Foundation’s Lani Evans in 2016, this workshop will help funders test the practical relevance of an approach that is getting some great results around the globe. The workshop will include a hands-on planning component that will allow Waikato funders a chance to develop new ways of trialing a participatory approach in practice.
