Tim Smith - Executive Manager: Fixed Income
Tim Smith is a finance professional with extensive experience across fixed income and short term money markets. Tim previously held roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia and JP Morgan before moving to FIIG Securities in 2009, where he progressed to Associate Director - Fixed Income Sales. In that role Tim serviced a portfolio of high profile ASX 200 corporates, fund managers and middle market clients. In 2016 Tim took the position of Executive Manager - Fixed Income at MINT Partners Australia. Tim has a bachelor of Agricultural Economics from The University of Sydney.
Justin McCarthy - Head of Research
One of Australia’s leading credit research analysts, with over 25 years of financial markets experience, Justin commenced his career in 1992 at Ferrier Hodgson in Melbourne. After being admitted as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 he moved to Hong Kong and took a role as Credit Manager at National Australia Bank. Subsequent roles included Credit Manager at Credit Suisse First Boston (London) and Head of Credit, Asia for Alliance Bernstein (Melbourne). In 2007 Justin moved to FIIG Securities in Brisbane as Head of Research and established the research and education functions. In 2016, Justin commenced as Head of Research at MINT Partners Australia. Justin has a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Melbourne) and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (AGSM).
