Speaker Bios

Chuck Abraham		Charles Abraham is a medical technology veteran with more than 23 years of experience with medical imaging and devices. Abraham began his career at General Electric Medical Systems where he spent 17 years in sales, product management and general management roles. His last assignment was as global business manager of the Vascular X-ray Imaging Business. He left GE to join Nellcor Puritan Bennett as vice president and general manager of their Global Sleep Solutions Business. Before coming to OraMetrix, Abraham was chief executive officer of eMerge Interactive Inc., a company delivering technology-based food safety and livestock management solutions to the U.S. beef production industry. In 1999, he led the company to a $105 million initial public offering on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange. Abraham received a Bachelor of Science degree in biological engineering at Mississippi State University at Starkville.
Dr. Mike Allen		Dr. Allen graduated from The University of Southern California for both his dental and orthodontic training, where he received his Master's Degree in Craniofacial Molecular Biology. He has been in practice for 12 years in Oceanside California. Dr. Allen has been a suresmile provider since 2007, and in August of 2016 he went 100% suresmile.
Melanie Badillo		Melanie Badillo heads up the New Patient Experience Team at Orthodontics by Crutchfield. After spending many years in the corporate sector at Booz-Allen Hamilton, a government contractor, she has transitioned her marketing talents to the world of orthodontics. In addition, Melanie has coached three Virginia state champion high school cheerleading teams. Melanie’s varied background and skills make her a perfect liaison to educate and share the Orthodontics by Crutchfield philosophy with future patients. Being a mother of two teenagers, she identifies with orthodontics’ target demographic and is instrumental in the OBC patient on-boarding process. Melanie believes a strong relationship and open communication with the doctor is the key to success.
Alex Bagden		Alex Bagden is CEO of Rooster Grin Media. Rooster Grin provides web development, web hosting and search engine optimization services to orthodontists. Over the past four years, he has focused on providing customized services to orthodontists with the goal of increasing the new patient starts. A serial entrepreneur, Alex has launched 3 other profitable companies and leverages these experiences to provide innovative marketing concepts to his clients.
Dr. Brent Bankhead		Dr. Brent Bankhead received his BS from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, his DDS at the University of Iowa and completed his orthodontic training at Saint Louis University. He also became part of the clinical faculty at St. Louis University Center for dentistry and orthodontics in 2017. Dr. Bankhead practices with his partners in Waterloo, Columbia, Alton and Carlinville IL, as well as O’Fallon, Wentzville, Warrenton and Chesterfield, MO. He began treating suresmile patients in November 2007. He added suresmile lingual in 2009 and was awarded suresmile lingual Practice of the Year 2011.
Dr. Mary Kay Becher		Dr. Mary Kay Becher has been in full time practice in Austin, Texas for 9 years with her associate Dr. Tasneem Rangwala. She is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry a Division of Texas A&M. She received her orthodontic education at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Dr. Becher started doing suresmile in 2011 and has never looked back. She has completed over 450 suresmile cases.
Angela Berna		Angela became part of the OSGB team in May, 2003. She graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in 2003 as a certified dental and orthodontic assistant. While working at OSGB, Angela went back to school and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development degree. She graduated in May, 2011 from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Angela is currently the Clinical Coordinator of OSGB. She is cross-trained in reception, treatment coordinating, suresmile coordinating, lab, etc. Angela manages the clinic and sets up protocols for new software and clinical procedures. She is also involved with IT and helps integrate the user side of technology in the office.
Dr. Chip Bird		Dr. Bird graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry, earning both his DDS and MS (orthodontic specialty) degrees there. He has practiced in Madison, WI for 15 years, and has been a suresmile user since 2007. He served as orthodontic co-chair for the general practice residency at Meriter Hospital in Madison, and has been a presenter to the Marquette University Orthodontic residents. Dr. Bird has finished more than 1000 suresmile cases, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Julie Blauw		Julie has been a team member at Atlanta Orthodontic Specialists and a suresmile user since 2005. She celebrates 20 years in orthodontics this year. She has served in various capacities of the orthodontic practice including assisting, clinical coordinating and suresmile coordinating. She is currently the Digital Services Manager and enjoys helping her team achieve success by providing ideas and solutions. Her goal is to provide the patient with a superior product by paying special attention to the details.
Dr. Christoper Brady		Dr. Christopher Brady is an Atlanta, Georgia native. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia. Dr. Brady received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia and completed a hospital-based General Practice Residency at The Ohio State University. He then returned to the Medical College of Georgia where he received his advanced training and Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Brady is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the American, Southern and Georgia Associations of Orthodontists and a member of the Hinman Dental Society. He is actively involved in several multi-specialty dental study clubs aimed at sharing best treatment practices. Dr. Brady is a member of the craniofacial team at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with dental-facial anomalies including jaw deformities and cleft lip and palate. Dr. Brady enjoys building relationships with his patients and their families and using the latest advancements in orthodontic technology to deliver a beautiful, healthy smile for each patient.
Jennifer Brice		Jennifer is the Manager of Training and Development for OraMetrix. She previously worked as an Orthodontic Assistant for 6 years before joining suresmile as a Digital Lab Tech in 2006. She has functioned in all aspects of the Digital Lab and has provided software guidance and support for new suresmile doctors and their staff in the US and Internationally since 2008. She has a BA, MHA and MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Carrie Callaway		Carrie Callaway began her dental career with Bankhead Orthodontics in 2004 as a clinical assistant. In addition to her chair side duties Carrie worked to implement suresmile into the practice developing processes and protocols that have been shared with and used by many practices across the suresmile/elemetrix community. Serving on the staff advisory board she has been a leader among her peers and been involved in multiple customer projects including software change requests. Currently she is employed by suresmile primarily focused on launching and training the elemetrix customer-base.
Jaime Couden		Jaime Couden has been working in the digital marketing world, specifically in the Dental industry, for 10 years. Working with dentists and their teams while helping them build successful, thriving practices is her passion. Currently Jaime manages a team of sales professionals at Sesame Communications, headquartered in the heart of Seattle next to CenturyLink Field (go Seahawks!) She is a Seattle native and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in political communication. When she’s not out helping doctors, she is traveling the world, at a football game or spending time with Bear, her hundred pound black lab.
Dr. William Crutchfield		Dr. William Crutchfield holds a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech and a D.D.S. from the Medical College of Virginia. He also completed his orthodontic residency at the Medical College of Virginia and now practices in Chantilly, Virginia. Dr. Crutchfield is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He began offering suresmile treatment in 2008. Since then, Orthodontics By Crutchfield is a 100 percent suresmile practice, completing 1100 suresmile cases.
Joshua Dodd		Joshua has been in the dental field for over a decade and part of the suresmile | elemetrix family for eight years. Formerly, Joshua served as the Staff Training and Implementation Specialist, traveling domestically and abroad to train offices in the use of suresmile. Currently, he is a member of the Data Integrity team in the Digital Lab, processing incoming cases and helping practices troubleshoot issues.
Dr. Nick Ferri		Dr. Nicholas Ferri joined Moles and Ferri Orthodontics in 2007. Dr. Ferri earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University Of Michigan, School Of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Ferri attended Marquette University for his specialty training in orthodontics and earned his Masters of Science Degree.
Andres Fonnegra		Andres Fonnegra earned his DDS from the Health Sciences Institute-CES in Colombia-South America and after 3 years in private practice relocated to the US. He joined the OraMetrix team in 2006 and is a Senior Software Instructor. Andres works with new practices in the US and Europe and has been training new suresmile doctors worldwide since 2009.
Dr. Tradd Harter		Dr. Tradd Harter has been creating classic smiles since 1999. An Anderson, South Carolina, native, Dr. Harter and his wife, Betsy, were drawn to the Athens area because of the community’s love of family, food, and of course football! A photographer, motorcycle enthusiast, and hunter, Dr. Harter enjoys all of the natural beauty that Northeast Georgia’s outdoors has to offer. Dr. Harter received his B.S. in Biology from Furman University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine in Charleston, S.C. Dr. Harter completed a residency program in orthodontics at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, where he earned a certificate in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.
Dr. Eric Howard		Dr. Howard completed his dental training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and his orthodontic residency at the Eastman Dental Center at the University of Rochester, NY.  He pursued additional research training at the University of Rochester where he was awarded a PhD in developmental biology.  Dr. Howard practices in Lancaster, PA, with a focus on 3D diagnostics and planning resulting in hyper-efficient treatment with the goal of consistently superior clinical results.  He is a clinical associate at the University of Pennsylvania, Department of Orthodontics where he has the privilege of teaching his unique style of patient care. Dr. Howard has been a suresmile provider since 2009 and serves on the Clinical Advisory Board and Faculty.
Dr. Jeff Johnson		Dr. Johnson attended the University of Iowa, attaining a degree in Biomedical Engineering before receiving his D.D.S. degree in dentistry. He completed his M.S. at Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Johnson's first exposure to suresmile was in 2000. He began offering suresmile treatment to patients in February 2004 and was fully converted by August 2005. Dr. Johnson has since completed orthodontic treatment utilizing suresmile for more than 4,000 patients.
Dr. Peter Kierl		Dr. Peter Kierl graduated from The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Dr. Kierl completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Iowa and received his Master’s in Orthodontic Sciences from there as well. Dr. Kierl has been in private practice for 34 years in Edmond, Oklahoma. He is a full clinical professor in the Graduate Clinic in The Department of Orthodontics at The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Dr. Kierl has been a 100% suresmile practice since July of 2006. He has completed more than 3,000 suresmile cases.
Jason Kirsch		As soon as Jason received braces as a teenager, he knew the world of orthodontics would become part of his future. He took a job at his doctor's office over the next few summers and quickly became immersed in what "moving teeth" was all about. After graduating with a Biology degree from Baylor University in 2008, Jason landed a job at OraMetrix, where he has progressed through several departments in the Digital Lab. For the past three years, he has found his expressive outlet as a member of the training team, where he’s had the chance to teach and provide face-to-face interactions with our customers. He wouldn't have it any other way!
Lois Krempski-Jones		Lois has been with Van Vliet Orthodontics, as a Records Technician, for more than 11 years, with 46 years’ experience as a dental assistant. As the Records Technician Lois incorporates the use of 3D imaging, including CBCT, intraoral scanning with the iTero Element, and Digital Photography. Lois has been serving on the suresmile Staff Advisory Board since 2010. She strives to obtain the best diagnostic scans and photos to assist Dr. Van Vliet with his case planning. Along with her team members, her goal is making the suresmile experience a memorable one for patients. Working closely with our Regional Manager, Lois stays current with the latest technology, through education, webinars, conferences, and meetings.
Dr. Ed Lin		Dr. Ed Lin is a partner of Orthodontic Specialists of Green Bay (OSGB), a private group practice in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Dr. Lin received both his dental (DDS) and orthodontic (MS) degrees from Northwestern University Dental School. OSGB is a completely digital practice and has been utilizing suresmile for 10 years at three different practice locations. Dr. Lin converted his practice to a 100% suresmile practice in February of 2007 and has not looked back. With more than 3,000 suresmile and suresmile Lingual cases completed, OSGB was recognized for Top Case Finishes in 2014.
Dr. Ilya Lipkin		Dr. Ilya Lipkin received his bachelor's degree from New York University and his dental degree from New York University School of Dentistry. He completed his residency in orthodontics at the New York University School of Dentistry, Department of Post-Graduate Orthodontics. Dr. Lipkin is in private practice in Westwood, New Jersey. Dr. Lipkin has been treating lingual cases since 2001. He has been a suresmile doctor since January 2007, and has completed more than 2,000 suresmile cases, of which more than 400 have been lingual cases.
Dr. Randall Moles		Dr. Randall Moles received his Doctor of Dental Science degree with honors from Marquette Dental School and his Master of Science degree with a specialty in orthodontics from Marquette. Dr. Moles is board certified by a number of organizations, with practices in Racine and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Moles was a member of the "Insiders" team that developed the first lingual appliance. He has lectured both nationally, internationally and has finished more than 3,000 suresmile cases with an average treatment time of 13 months. Moles Orthodontics was recognized as a 2007 suresmile Practice of the Year.
Dr. Steven Moravec		Dr. Moravec has been practicing orthodontics in the Chicago suburb of Plainfield, Illinois since 1985. His undergraduate collegiate studies were completed at Michigan State University and the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He obtained his Master of Science in orthodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also has a Master’s Degree in History from DePaul University in Chicago. Dr. Moravec has been a suresmile practitioner since 2008 and has finished about 2,500 cases. Since last year, he has been rapidly ramping up suresmile aligner cases.
Dr. Sean O'Callaghan		Dr. Sean O’Callaghan has been the principle of Virtuosum Orthodontics since 1993, integrating advanced technologies into the practice to produce a completely digital and highly advanced workflow. Dr. O’Callaghan graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1984. After practicing as a general dentist in Melbourne for several years, a keen interest in orthodontics inspired a move to the USA where he completed his orthodontic qualification (MSD) in 1993 from Case Western Reserve University. A member of the first group of suresmile Doctors in Australia in 2009, his practice became 100% suresmile in 2011. Dr. O’Callaghan was awarded the suresmile International Practice of the Year in 2014, and he has since been appointed to the suresmile faculty.
Micah Owens		Micah Owens is a Senior Account Executive for the company Weave, with a passion for problem solving and client retention. His formal education is in behavior science and communication. For the past 17 years, he has had great success in sales, sales training and management, specializing in dental and medical sales. Prior to the dental market, Micah was a sales manager for the company Clearlink, working for companies such as AT&T, Centurylink and Verizon. His focus on new customer success and employee satisfaction gave him awards in both "Most Dependable sales manager" as well as "Up and coming sales leader". His sales and management skills have helped him in working in a variety of industries. Micah is a father of three children. Both he and his wife are what they like to call "Movie Buffs". Their favorite past times are spent hiking and camping around the beautiful mountains of Utah, as well as going to the gym every chance they get. Micah currently resides in Provo "Happy Valley" Utah.
Dr. Steven Peterson		Dr. Steven Peterson received his BS from Luther College, graduated from the University of Iowa with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1981 and completed his Pediatric Dentistry Specialty Training at the University of Iowa. Dr. Peterson went on to the University of Toronto where he earned his Master of Science in Orthodontics. Dr. Peterson began treating suresmile patients in 2007. Dr. Peterson is ABO certified.
Dr. Leslie Pitner		Dr. Leslie Pitner received her undergraduate degree from Williams College in 1990. At Williams, she majored in art and graduated with highest honors, earning membership in Phi Beta Kappa. After completing a master’s degree in art history at the University of Pennsylvania in 1995, Dr. Pitner decided to pursue a career in dentistry, graduating with distinction from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2002, where she was elected to membership in OKU, a dental honor society. Dr. Pitner also completed her specialty certificate at UNC and received her Master of Science in Orthodontics in 2005. Beyond technical training in dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Pitner completed a unique master’s degree program in positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Positive psychology focuses on personal growth and happiness (rather than pathology and mental illness) in human development.
Melissa Rabaglia		Melissa is the suresmile/Clinic Coordinator at Orthodontics by Crutchfield. She is a certified level II technician who is responsible for all suresmile digital records, simulations, plan acceptance, MACROS, IDB, aligner setups and wire ordering. Melissa is often asked to train and speak on various subjects in regards to suresmile.
Dr. Lindsay Resmer		Dr. Lindsay Resmer graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry and completed her orthodontic residency at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. She has been in private practice for 12 years in Noblesville, IN. She became a suresmile user in 2012 and switched her main office to 100% suresmile two years later.
Rhonda Roberts		Rhonda is a Software Instructor at suresmile | elemetrix. She previously worked as a Dental Assistant before joining suresmile | elemetrix in 2007. She has functioned in all aspects of the Digital Lab and has been a software Instructor since 2011, providing software guidance and support for new suresmile doctors and their teams in the US and internationally.
Dr. Brian Rosenzweig		After graduating from Emory University, Dr. Rosenzweig entered dental school at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Rosenzweig graduated from dental school with the highest honors and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Dr. Rosenzweig received his specialty training in the area of orthodontics at the University of Rochester-Eastman Dental Center. Prior to moving to Bend, Oregon, Dr. Rosenzweig was able to practice with and learn from Drs. Michael Stewart and Melisa Rathburn in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition, Dr. Rosenzweig was the orthodontist on staff for the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital Craniofacial Team from 2001 to 2003. Dr. Rosenzweig has been a suresmile practitioner since 2006 and has treated more than 1,000 suresmile cases.
Dr. Terry Sellke		Dr. Sellke has used suresmile 100% for all fixed appliance cases since 2008. He has taught practice efficiency with improved quality to orthodontists worldwide in his “The Bottomline” courses. He teaches treatment and practice management at University of Illinois Department of Orthodontics where he holds the rank of clinical professor and research leader. He is a leader in the use of technology in orthodontics, having lectured on lasers, accelerated orthodontics (AcceleDent and more recently VPro5 and MOP), and most recently remote monitoring of treatment (Dental Monitoring).
Dr. Kyle Shannon		Dr. Shannon completed his dental and orthodontic training at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and received his Master’s in Orthodontic Sciences. He has been in private practice for 17 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is an associate clinical professor in the Graduate Clinic of The Department of Orthodontics at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Dr. Shannon has been a suresmile practice since 2012.
Michele Spignardo		Michele has been with Van Vliet Orthodontics for more than 14 years, with approximately 23 years’ experience in the dental field. As a member of the suresmile Staff Advisory Board she has contributed to OraMetrix and the suresmile community since 2007. Acting as suresmile Coordinator for Van Vliet Orthodontics since 2008, Michele has utilized suresmile technology, managed office protocol, and continuously strives to improve her patients’ experience. Michele believes staying current with exciting new developments in suresmile and implementing the latest technology available provides the best experience for their patients.
Dr. Michael Stewart		Dr. Michael Stewart received his DDS degree and certificates in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics from the Emory University School of Dentistry. Dr. Stewart is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists and has been the Director of the Department of Orthodontics in the Center for Craniofacial Disorders at the Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Center in Atlanta. Dr. Stewart and his wife, Dr. Melisa Rathburn, practice together in Atlanta. They have used suresmile since 2004 and have completed more than 4,000 suresmile cases.
Kevin Thompson		Kevin Thompson is a Senior Territory Manager for Dentsply Sirona Orthodontic Division in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He has six years of orthodontic sales experience. Prior to orthodontic sales he worked for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Cardiovascular Division. He enjoys golf and spending time with his two children Kameron and Hallie. Kevin graduated from the University of North Texas majoring in Business Administration.
Dr. Scott Tyler		Dr. Scott Tyler received his master's degree in orthodontics from Northwestern University after completing dental school at the University of Michigan. Dr. Tyler founded TDR in 1989 and practices with 4 other talented practitioners in Birmingham, Novi and Rochester Hills, Michigan. TDR began treating suresmile patients in July 2007, and has completed more than 5,000 cases. When not micromanaging tooth positions, he can be found swimming, drumming, golfing, kite boarding and just goofing about.
Dr. John Walker		Dr. John Walker graduated from New Jersey School of Dental Medicine with his D.M.D. in 1976 and received his Certificate in Orthodontics from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 1978. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and a board certified member of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Walker is a clinical professor of Orthodontics at Boston University and has been in private practice for 30 years in Lunenburg and Harvard MA. Dr. Walker's practice reduces time in treatment by as much as 40% through using suresmile's computer aided and robotic precision treatment.
Dr. Boyd Whitlock		Dr. Boyd Whitlock received his DDS degree from the University of Oklahoma with honors in pediatric and restorative dentistry and did his general practice residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City, earning his MS and certification in orthodontics from the University of Missouri. Dr. Whitlock is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics and is the director of the NW Arkansas Study, an affiliate of Seattle Study. A member of the suresmile Clinical Advisory Board and suresmile Faculty, Dr. Whitlock has been a suresmile doctor since March 2005.
Tracy Williams		Tracy Williams has 16 years of orthodontic experience. She has served as a Treatment Coordinator at Classic City Orthodontics with Dr. Tradd Harter in Athens, GA, for the past 12 years. Since Dr. Harter became a suresmile provider in 2009, Tracy has helped integrate suresmile into the practice via the new patient exam, marketing materials, and everyday language. She coordinated an in-depth CE course in 2010 to introduce suresmile to more than 50 local referring dental practices. In 2012 and 2014 Tracy led other CE credited suresmile events to update the same group of dentists on Dr. Harter’s progress using the suresmile system. Tracy is currently serving on the suresmile Staff Advisory Board and has become a frequent speaker with suresmile. In 2016, Tracy started her own consulting business and is currently contracted through Impact360 Consulting. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and the competitive sport of Rodeo and barrel racing.
Dr. Francis Wong		Dr. Francis Wong received his BDS and MSc in Orthodontics from the University of Manchester England. He was clinical tutor for the orthodontic postgraduates and undergraduate dental students in the Orthodontic Faculty at the University of Western Australia for two decades, while running two practices in Perth. He currently operates two practices in the Gold Coast area on the east coast of Australia. He has taught seminars in lingual orthodontics at the University of Queensland and the University of Western Australia, presents at the Australasian Society of Lingual Orthodontics Conferences and Australian suresmile courses for lingual orthodontics. He has used lingual orthodontics since 1987 and began incorporating suresmile in 2013. In 2015, Dr. Wong’s practice received the Outstanding suresmile Lingual Practice award from OraMetrix.
Dr. Alex Yusupov		Alex Yusupov completed his Dental degree at University of Melbourne in 1989. He then completed his Master’s Degree at University of Melbourne in 1992. Since then, Alex has been in private practice. Alex is a clinical demonstrator at the University of Melbourne, and has been utilizing suresmile in his practice since February 2014. Alex’s interest in orthodontics include 3D technology, multidisciplinary and surgical treatments, and clinical photography.
Brenda Zullo		Brenda Zullo Brenda became a member of Dr. Moravec’s team in 2003. As a Patient Manager, she has the privilege of helping create great smiles, and the opportunity to interact with young people in the community and hear about their day and what interests them. Upon the integration of suresmile into the Plainfield practice in 2007, she took on the role of suresmile Coordinator and was named “suresmile Coordinator of the Year” in 2009. She is also a member of the suresmile Staff Advisory Board. She enjoys staying active in the Plainfield community through volunteer work on many boards and serving as a Confirmation Mentor to 8th graders. She loves to spend every chance she can with her four adult children and their spouses. Gardening, cooking and naturally shopping is how she relaxes.
