RAC Benefits Plus Trip 2017

Travel to The Bahamas

Don't forget to apply for a passport if you don't already have one. If you have a passport, make sure it is still valid!

Passports

U.S. Citizens: You must have a valid passport. Without a valid passport, (which must match exactly with the name on your airline ticket) you will not be permitted to board your flight.

For more information on passports (applications, renewals or adding pages), U.S. citizens may contact their local post office or visit the U.S. Department of State web site at www.travel.state.gov at your leisure time.

If this is the first time you are applying for a passport, you must have a certified copy of your birth certificate. It must have the official raised seal of the city, county or state where issued or printed on security paper with a watermark. If you do not have a “certified” birth certificate copy, telephone the government records center of the state where you were born for instructions on how to obtain one. Birth certificates are also available online for most states for a fee.

Many countries require sufficient space in your passport for immigration officials to validate your arrival and departure with a stamp. Having two blank pages in your passport at all times is recommended.

Costs associated with getting your passport will be at your expense.

It is your sole responsibility to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available when necessary. No compensation will be given to individuals who fail to bring proper documentation.

Note: If your passport expires within six months after your travels, you must renew your passport prior to your trip.

Important Travel Information

Once you deplane, you will present the immigration agent with your passport. You will then claim your luggage and proceed to Customs.  After passing Customs, continue walking to the passenger pick-up area. You will be met by transportation staff wearing black slacks or skirts and a white shirt. Your transportation staff will be holding a RAC Benefits Plus sign and they will escort you to your vehicle.

If your luggage is lost, stay in the airport terminal near the baggage claim carousels. DO NOT pass through customs. Fill out a lost luggage report with your airline. You must receive a print out with a phone number and report/claim number. Once at the resort, the hospitality staff will assist you in calling to check on the status of your luggage.

Air Travel

When you register, you will have the opportunity to enter your preferred flight details. We will do everything possible to accommodate your requests. Once registered, your itinerary will be emailed to you for your review and approval. We will not book your flights without your written approval in an email. Make sure to double-check the spelling on both itineraries and make sure it matches your passports.
