Overview
The next meeting of AELP member’s group set up to consider higher level provision is being hosted by Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) on Tuesday, 21 February. The meeting will explore the benefits of partnership working, the work of the University Vocational Awards Council (UVAC), different approaches to delivering higher and degree apprenticeships and the use of Advanced Learner Loans.

Speakers include Mark Rayner, the Degree Apprenticeship Development Manager at SHU, Bob Clift from the Tech Partnership, Mandy Crawford-Lee from UVAC, Nichola Hay from Outsource Training and Development and Sian Owen Head of Stakeholder Relationships (Funding) at Pearson UK.

The group aims to;
  • Inform AELP’s position on higher level skills and degree apprenticeship provision enabling the association to have a strong representative voice when discussing provision at level 4 and above with policy makers
  • Provide a space where members can share information, best practice and lessons learnt, and discuss how issues and challenges can be overcome
  • Support members in developing a creative and innovative approach to the delivery of higher level provision
  • Provide an opportunity for members to network both with other providers but also with a range of stakeholders including employers

The meeting will be chaired by Dr Chris Payne the CEO of the ITS Group.

Once registered to attend the meeting you will receive an initial confirmation email. Joining instructions should have been received THREE DAYS prior to the meeting.
