1. Golf ~ Chateau Cartier Golf

Due to weather conditions, as noted originally in the golfing option, Chateau Cartier Golf Course will not be able to guarantee golfing on the 20th.

Those who have registered will be contacted by the event administrator and refunds, or transfers to the tour will be offered.

2. Historical Tour: Diefenbunker Group Tour Ottawa’s Most Unique Historical Site

The Diefenbunker is a four-story, 100,000 square foot underground bunker, built between 1959 and 1961. During the Cold War it was intended to house 535 Canadian government officials and military officers  The Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum has been named Canada’s most significant Cold War site for visitors interested in culture and history. This National Historic Site of Canada is an underground nuclear bunker built in secrecy during the height of the Cold War, located just 35 km from Ottawa. As the Central Emergency Headquarters, it was meant to house the top officials of the government and military during the risk of nuclear attack.

Tours of this unique facility take visitors through recreations of government rooms, living quarters, and cryptographic areas. Some of the focal points include the Prime Minister’s suite, the War Cabinet Room, the CBC Radio studio, and the Emergency Government Situation Centre.

Cost per person including transportation, admissions, lunch, guide = $110/pp.

Depart Westin at 12:30 pm – back approximately 4-5 pm (tour is 90 minutes / travel time 40 minutes each way).
