Dorothy Adams
Dorothy Adams has headed the SIU since it was established in July 2015. Before taking up this role Dorothy was GM Insights MSD, responsible for leading the Ministry of Social Development’s data, analytics and evidence hub.

Prior to joining the Ministry in 2008, Dorothy worked in local government for 10 years specialising in policy and governance, with her most recent role being Manager, Strategic Development at Hutt City Council. Dorothy has also held senior roles in the Department of Labour, NZ Employment Service and was an advisor to the Minister of Employment.

Dorothy has a Master of Public Administration from Monash University and a LLB from Victoria University of Wellington. She is an Enrolled Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Wellington.
 
David Carrington
David Carrington has been at the forefront of social impact investing in the UK for many years. A member of the UK’s Social Investment Task Force from 2000 to 2010, he is now one of the non-executive directors of Big Society Capital and a member of the supervisory board of Triodos Bank. David has been CEO of three UK foundations including The Baring Foundation. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Effective Philanthropy in the USA.
 
Hon Bill English
Hon Bill English is the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance (roles he has held since 2008) and the Minister Responsible for Housing New Zealand Corporation. He was first elected to Parliament in 1990 as MP for the Wallace electorate (later re-named Clutha-Southland) and served as the local MP for 24 years until he became a list MP in 2014.

He completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Otago University, followed by a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Literature at Victoria University in Wellington.  Mr English has held ministerial posts in regulatory reform, education, health, revenue and finance and he was leader of the National Party from October 2001 to October 2003.  Bill's wife Mary is a General Practitioner and they have six children.
 
Daniel Madhavan
Daniel Madhavan is Chief Executive Officer of Impact Investing Australia, a position he has held since October 2014. He is also Executive Chairman of the Impact Investment Readiness Fund and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Impact Entrepreneurship Program, Compass. He also holds non-Executive Director roles with Impact Capital Australia, Sanfilippo Children’s Foundation and Y Generation Against Poverty (YGAP). Prior to joining Impact Investing Australia, Daniel spent 12 years in various roles at JB Were, including Chief Operating Officer and Acting CEO. Daniel is interested in how capital can help individuals and organisations translate energy into positive outcomes in the social enterprise sector.
