Luke Williams


       

Mr. Williams is a globally recognized authority on innovation leadership. He is professor of Innovation and executive director of the Berkley Entrepreneurship Center at New York University's Stern School of Business and a fellow at frog, one of the world's most influential innovation companies. Williams is a sought-after commentator on disruptive innovation, entrepreneurship and cultural change. He is invited to speak worldwide, and his views are regularly featured in Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Fast Company, GQ, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, NPR and MSNBC. He is the inventor of over fifty United States patents and the best-selling author of Disrupt: Think the Unthinkable to Spark Transformation in Your Business.         

     

Mary K. Ludgin
Managing Director - Heitman


 

Among her professional affiliations, Mary is a Global Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and the incoming Chair of ULI’s Chicago District Council. She is also President of the Real Estate Research Institute. She served as Chairman of the Board of the Pension Real Estate Association and President of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries. Mary is a fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute for Real Estate Research and a member of LAI, the honorary real estate society. She is a docent for the Chicago Architecture Foundation and she served two terms on its board. She is also a member of the board of the Metropolitan Planning Council of Chicago, the Oak Park Economic Development Corporation, and the Downtown Oak Park Association.                         

     

Shawn Golhar
Managing Director and Head of Public Policy Research



Shawn Golhar is a Managing Director and the Head of Public Policy Research at Barclays. Based in New York, he is responsible for covering major public policy issues for the firm and our global client base. Formerly, Mr. Golhar was a Director in the Public Policy Group in New York and a Vice President in the Public Finance Group in Los Angeles. Active in the community, he serves on the board of America Needs You and is an Advisory Board Member for Blue Engine and Millennial Action Project. He was awarded the Barclays Citizenship Award in 2015. Mr. Golhar is a member at the Council on Foreign Relations, a Truman National Security Fellow, and served as a Leadership Southern California Fellow. Mr. Golhar completed his undergraduate studies at Rutgers University and the London School of Economics and received his Masters’ degree in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.




David Zervos
Chief Market Strategist, Jefferies LLC



David Zervos is the Chief Market Strategist for Jefferies LLC. David is best known across the financial services industry for his timely macroeconomic commentaries. In his role he continuously exchanges investment ideas with the world’s leading money managers, hedge funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and government officials. He also appears regularly in the media as a frequent guest on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and Fox Business News. Additionally, David is a regular speaker at many key industry conferences and events.

David joined Jefferies in 2010 after spending 2009 as a visiting advisor in the Division of Monetary Affairs at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. Prior to visiting the Federal Reserve, he held a variety of research, sales and trading positions in the private sector, most recently managing global macro portfolios for Brevan Howard and UBS O’Connor. He began his career as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board in the early 1990’s. He received a B.Sc. in Systems Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rochester.

Joel Coleman

Joel Coleman is the Chief Investment Officer for AEGON Americas. He provides senior investment oversight for the US and Canadian insurance businesses of AEGON NV. He is responsible for establishing portfolio strategy and asset allocation for the firm’s $100 billion investment portfolio.

Joel assumed his current role in April 2011 after leading the Portfolio Management Group, which managed the construction of AEGON USA’s portfolios, including portfolio strategy and asset allocation. Prior to joining the Portfolio Management Group, Joel served as an Asset Specialist on the Investment Grade Corporate bond desk.

Prior to joining AEGON in 2002, he led the Investment Grade Corporate Bond desk for INVESCO. Previously, he had held positions in fixed income portfolio management at Providian.

Joel is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He received his B.S. in Mathematics from the Pennsylvania State University.
Chris Demeo has 27 years of in investment management, capital markets and consulting. Before co-founding Nu Paradigm, DeMeo was Head of Investment, Americas at Towers Watson, and was responsible for leading the Americas investment business which had more than 200 clients with over $600 billion under advisement and $20 billion under management. He was responsible for developing and implementing investment solutions for a number of the firm’s major clients, including strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction and alternative investments.

Prior to Towers Watson, DeMeo was Director, Investment Strategy at Russell Investments where he led the team that delivered investment strategies for retirement plans, foundations & endowments, operating assets and insurance companies. Previous roles included Director, Retirement Capital Solutions at Merrill Lynch where he advised numerous Fortune 500 retirement plan sponsors on developing and implementing innovative investment solutions; and Vice President, Global Structured Products at Bank of America where his team developed and marketed fixed-income structured solutions for the institutional retirement and insurance markets.

Chris earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Syracuse University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. He also regularly presents at investment industry conferences on a wide range of topics including strategy, risk management and alternative investments.
   
Brad Baker

Brad Baker is a Managing Director of Wilshire Associates and a member of Wilshire Consulting. Mr. Baker joined Wilshire in 2005 and conducts investment research and provides consulting services to corporate and public pension funds, endowments, foundations and healthcare organizations. His consulting experience ranges across many sizes of investment funds. He also currently serves as the chair of Wilshire Consulting’s Private Real Assets Asset Class Committee. Prior to joining Wilshire, he was a Project / Trade specialist at SunGard Institutional Brokerage. Mr. Baker is a graduate of Allegheny College, where he earned a BS in economics and a BA in communications and marketing. He earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business, and is currently pursuing the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. Michael Hall leads a team of investment professionals tasked with delivering world class service and advice to Defined Benefit plans in the United States. He has been providing investment consulting services to clients since 1998. His areas of specialization and expertise include plan governance and investment policy review and implementation; asset allocation modeling and implementation; liability hedging benchmark construction; investment strategy development and implementation; evaluation and development of investment manager structure; and evaluation and selection of investment managers. Before rejoining Russell Investments in September 2017, Michael was the West Division Leader for Towers Watson Investment Services at Willis Towers Watson. Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson, Michael spent 12 years at Russell Investment Group, where he served in various roles, including director of investment strategy, director of asset liability strategy and senior consultant. For eight years before that, Michael worked as an actuary for corporate retirement and benefits plans. Michael is an associate of the Society of Actuaries, a CFA charterholder and member of the SFA Society of Seattle.
