Dr. Mohammed Abuelkhair Former Head of Pharma, Medicine & Medical Regulatory Section Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) Dr. Mohammed Abuelkhair found the Pharma/Medicine and Medical Product
Department at the Health Authority in Abu Dhabi. He was the Head of Drugs and
Medical Products Regulation Section and Chair several committees including Abu
Dhabi Pharmacy and therapeutics Committees; Continuing Pharmacy Education
Committee and Alternative and complementary committee, Pharmacy Council,
Vaccine Committee and Allergy and Asthma committee. He founded the drug information and poison control center in Abu Dhabi.
Dr.Mohammed won the Arab Health Award in 2005 for excellence in pharmacy
services. His major area of research is in drug safety and rational drug use.
He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. | |
Dr. Rani Khatib Senior Lecturer and Pharmacist University of Leeds, and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, UK Rani Khatib is a senior lecturer practitioner at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom. His education and training activities include various health care professionals at postgraduate and undergraduate level, including pharmacists, nurses and doctors. In addition to his well recognized national an international general clinical pharmacy experience, he is a a highly specialist cardiology pharmacist at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the UK. Rani is an independent pharmacist prescriber with direct responsibility for providing pharmaceutical care to patients in primary and secondary care. He is part of the Cardiovascular Research Unit, a committee member of the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association, and the European Society of Cardiology Science Committee (The Council on Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions). Rani is well published, with several books and publications in professional and peer-reviewed journals. | |
Rania Tayseer Al Dweik Medical Director Ask Health CORP, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Rania Al Dweik is a PhD
candidate in Public Health, University of Ottawa;Canada. Her qualifications
include BSc in Pharmacy and MSc in Toxicology and Forensic Medicine. Currently,
she is working as a Research Assistant at the School of Health Science at
University of Ottawa, Canada.
Rania has over 19 years’
experience in pharmacy and patient safety field. For the last three years she
has been working as researcher in the field of public health and health
science. Her researches have focused on different disciplines in public health
include patient safety, poverty and drug regulations. She developed experience
working with complex survey data and using different research methods including
qualitative and quantitative methods which enriching her experience in the

Fatme Al-Anouti Assistant Dean of the College of Sustainability Sciences and Humanities Zayed University, UAE Dr. Fatme Al Anouti is a Biochemist and Microbiologist. Her current research looks into the biochemical and genetic basis of Vitamin D Deficiency which is prevalent in the UAE population. Dr. Fatme is collaborating with many research centers at both the international and national. She has recently secured many grants to conduct her studies which focuson Vitamin D Deficiency among Emiratis. She is also interested in the use of molecular tools for the assessment of environmental risk factors and gene-environment interaction. She has numerous publications and presentations at international conferences and is a member of many professional organizations like the American Society for Microbiology and the UAE Genetic Diseases Association. | |
