2016 Poland Capital Markets Day

SUMMARY

The Warsaw Stock Exchange, Ipopema Securities and Auerbach Grayson are pleased to host our inaugural Poland Capital Markets Day conference on Monday, May 16th at The New York Palace Hotel. This event provides fund managers an opportunity to meet with Polish companies from a variety of sectors and capitalizations.

2016 is expected to be a turnaround year as we expect GDP growth of 3.6% to be fueled by internal individual consumption on fiscal stimulus implementation expected in May. We also believe that the growth will be fueled by net exports following the considerable depreciation of last year. However going forward in 2016, we forecast PLN strengthening of 6% vs USD to be a supportive investment factor for foreign investors. The government's need to cover a fiscal shortfall in 2016 also creates a supportive case for higher dividend payouts from SOEs. The Polish market was one of the weakest performing globally in the emerging universe in 2015 (-27.5% in USD terms). Going forward we recommend an overweight position as we see potential for positive surprises across the blue-chip and small & mid cap universes.
