Dr. Khawla Sultal Alnasri is a Consultant Family Physician and currently working as the Clinic Manager of Multispecialty Center – Maqta. She is practicing as consultant family physicians with high level of involvement with health maintenance, screening program, community awareness, and chronic disease care and prevention. She is involved in the taskforce operational KPI at AHS and actively contribute towards achieving JCI re-accreditation of AHS. She had contribution in quality improvement projects such as psoriasis co-morbidity at the emirates of Abu Dhabi and clinical KPI improvement projects.

She has ACHE membership and a recipient of certified recognition of exceptional customer/patients care at Maqta health center – Abu Dhabi, Dubai quality award and Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award. 

Dr. Mohamad Miqdady is American Board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. He is the Division Chief, Ped. GI, Hepatology & Nutrition Division at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in UAE. Also an Adjunct Staff at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio USA.

Dr. Miqdady completed his Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, TX, USA. He held the position of Assistant Professor at Jordan University of Science and Technology in Jordan for six years prior joining SKMC.

Main research interests include feeding difficulties, picky eating, obesity, procedural sedation, allergic GI disorders and celiac disease. He has several publications and authored few book chapters including www.uptodate.com. On the Editorial Board of few journals including Gastroenterology & Hepatology. 

Dr. Omer Ahmed Omer Elhag is a MBBS degree holder from Medical School , Khartoum university, Sudan and attained his MRCP  in Ireland.  After his internship in Sudan, he moved to UK in 1984 where he acquired his Diploma in Cardiology from London University. He finished his certification for CCST (UK) Cardiology and his Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board in 2006.

His initial training is internal and general medicine followed by cardiology training and sub-specialty training in interventional cardiac electrophysiology.

He worked in various hospitals in the UK and 15 years in Edinburgh University Hospitals, Scotland as a staff and consultant interventional cardiologist and electrophysiologist and honorary senior lecturer at the Edinburgh University.

Currently, he is working as consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist, Head of EP Department at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi.  The department is committed to providing Electrophysiology services to the whole country of United Arab Emirates. The centre has a very active and busy team performing all types of cardiac ablation procedures in addition to device implantation and follow up with dedicated arrhythmia clinics.

His main interests aside from general cardiology include syncope and sudden cardiac death.

Dr. Thana Harhara is an Emirati American- and Canadian-board certified internist. Dr. Thana achieved her MBBS from United Arab Emirates University. Following completion of her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto, she pursued further training in Palliative medicine. She currently works as a consultant physician in Internal Medicine at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi. Her areas of interest include palliative and supportive care, and health professionals’ education.

Dr. Jawad Hashim, an associate professor at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences of the UAE University, Al Ain, obtained his medical degree from The Aga Khan University, Pakistan and completed residency training in family medicine at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital, New York. He practiced pediatric, neonatal and adult ambulatory as well as inpatient/intensive care at the Bremerton Memorial Hospital, near Seattle, Washington, for several years.

Subsequently, he joined academic medicine with interests in clinical research and postgraduate education. Winning several competitive grants, he leads research in health systems improvement and is invited to present on emerging trends in this domain. His early work led to the development of a new framework in eHealth. With over 50 published articles, abstracts and textbook chapters, Dr. Hashim is well cited. He was recently recognized for his outstanding work with the Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Hashim is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Mario Patricolo is a graduate of Medicine and has specialization in Paediatric Surgery. He is currently the Head of Department and Consultant Paediatric Surgeon in Al Noor Hospital, Khalifa Street Branch. He has serve different institutions in his more than 20 years of excellent experiences from Italy, United Kingdom and UAE.

He is the Regional Representative in the Middle East for the International Children Continence Society, a Children’s Committee Member for the International Continence Society and Chair of the Special Interest Group Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus for the World Federation of Neuro-rehabilitation. His experience covers General Pediatric and Neonatal open and Laparoscopic Surgery, with a special interest in Pediatric Urology, Continence and Urodynamics.

Dr. Al-kasimi led the merging of all medical staff under one umbrella at the Abu Dhabi Centre for Care and Rehabilitation, thus ensuring that care was standardized across the clinic system. Throughout his professional career, Doctor A-kasimi has been deeply committed not only to best practices and quality care, but also to patient satisfaction and best experience. He received his Undergraduate, Medical School and Post-graduate training in the U.S.A in the State of New York. He has been a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics since 2006, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2007.

In addition Doctor Al-kasimi earned a Certificate in Medical Education in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, in 2010.  Dr. Al-kasimi has achieved the status of Certified Physician Executive by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management from the American Association for Physician Leadership (formerly The American College of Physician Executives).

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Saadah is currently working as the Senior Consultant Neurologist and Professor at the Neurology Department, Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

He is an active member of more than 25 professional bodies world wide and had numerous prizes, honours and distinctions for his excellence in his field. His clinical experience was gained from main teaching hospitals in Baghdad, Kuwait, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Birmingham, London, Amman, Dubai, Philadelphia, Iowa, Denver, San Francisco, Honolulu, Miami & San Diego.

He has attended, lectured & chaired more than 300 Local, National and International conferences, meetings & symposiums and published more than 100 research articles and abstracts in well recognized National & International Journals. He also serves as a reviewer of many Local, National & International journals and published a booklet about Emirates stroke initiative: Ischemic stroke: prophylaxis and treatment, Secondary stroke prevention, recommendations in 2006.

Prof. Dr. Zbigniew Ruszczak, MD, PhD, is a Consultant in Dermatology & Venereology, Pediatric Dermatology, Allergy, and Wound Care. He is currently the Head of the Department of Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology, Allergy and Wound Care at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City – Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, the leading UAE Dermatology Center. Prior to this he served for over 2 years as Consultant and Head of Department of Dermatology & Allergy Clinic at Al Noor Hospitals Group PLC, and between 2009 and 2013 as Senior Consultant in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, in Abu Dhabi.

Prof. Ruszczak has over 30 years of experience in academia and innovative biotechnology industry. He is German Board certified in Dermatology and Allergy, and Fellow of American Academy of Dermatology and European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology.  He presented over 460 lectures on national and international conferences, published over 125 peer-reviewed papers in international journals, and is the editor of the section “Pediatric Dermatology” in the Springer’s masterpiece “Textbook of Clinical Pediatrics” among others multiple book chapters.

He serves as invited speaker and faculty member of The American Academy of Dermatology and The World Congress of Dermatology since many years. Being a former Medical Director and Head of R&D at a leading US biotechnology company, Prof. Ruszczak holds multiple world patents in biotechnology and local drug delivery systems. He is also a Visiting Professor and Consultant of Dermatology at the Rutgers University of New Jersey, Newark, NJ, USA. His main interest is in Skin Immunology and Pediatric.
