For early arrivals make sure you set aside Thursday, 26th May, afternoon to visit one of Canberra’s best loved institutions. We’ve organised afternoon tea and a private highlights tour of the National Gallery of Australia. Find your way back to the NewActon Precinct, a short drive or brisk 30 minute walk from NGA for a welcome to Canberra drink.   

5.00 pm Molly’s Bar - NewActon Precinct

The NewAction Precinct blends arts, culture, dining and living in a modern atmosphere with hidden nooks and crannies just waiting to be discovered. Take in the extraordinary collection of artworks that populate the precinct. Commissioned works by contemporary artists create a warm environment that truly captures the imagination. Have a wander and meet at Molly’s Bar from 5.00pm for a welcome to Canberra drink.  35-37 London Circuit, Canberra

Awards Dinner at the National Museum Australia

The awards dinner is the time to dress up and celebrate!

Situated on the picturesque shores of Lake Burley Griffin, the Museum boasts sweeping decks, expansive windows and imposing indoor and outdoor spaces with mountain, lakeside and city views.

Hop on the bus from QT or enjoy the 20 minute lake side walk to or from this amazing venue for our “night of nights”. Celebrate the work and achievements of Leading Edge independent booksellers and the announcement of the Bookseller of the Year Awards for Metro and Regional, Publisher of the Year Award, and the Awards for Best Business Ideas and 1st Time Delegate. Of course expect fantastic food, drink and author presentations as well!
