Eleonora Coelho has a Masters in Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Methods of Dispute Resolution – ADR from Université Paris II - Panthéon Assas and has a Law degree from the University of São Paulo Law School. Eleonora is a partner in the São Paulo Office of Castro, Barros, Sobral, Gomes - Advogados, responsible for the Arbitration Department of this law firm, practicing in the fields of Civil Law, Commercial Law, Litigation and Arbitration. Has acted as lawyer and arbitrator in both domestic and international arbitration cases.

She is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association, of the International Bar Association, member and former Vice President of the Brazilian Arbitration Committee (CBAr); member of the Board of IBDIC – Brazilian Institute of Construction Law, member of the Arbitrators List of the Market Arbitration Panel, effective Member of Women Lawyers Commission – OAB/SP, member of the Conflict Arbitration Center Consultant Counsel of the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil (Amcham), and member of the Permanent Staff of Arbitrators in several Mediation and Arbitrations Chambers. She was recently appointed by the Federal Senate to be part of a Commission of Jurists in charge of updating Brazilian Arbitration Act. She regularly participates in seminars on arbitration in Brazil and abroad, either as fellow or as a speaker and has distinguished articles on Arbitration published in different magazines and newspapers.

Eleonora is fluent in Portuguese, English and French, and has elementary Italian and Spanish.

Selma is a lawyer and professor in São Paulo. She is owner-partner of the law firm Selma Lemes Advogados. She was member of the Reporting Commission of the Arbitration Bill of Law (Arbitration Law, Law nº 9.307/96). For seven years she was director of the CIESP/FIESP Mediation and Arbitration Chamber in São Paulo. Currently she is a Vice President of AMCHAM – Arbitration Center. She has a MD in International Law from the University of São Paulo/USP and a PhD in Latin American Integration/USP. She is counsel, arbitrator and advisor in several arbitration proceedings and is a member of several associations including roster of arbitrators at BOVESPA – Chamber of Arbitration and Member of Latin American Committee- ICC International Court of Arbitration. She is author of several books, including “
Arbitrator. Principles of Independence and Impartiality” (2001) and “Arbitration in Public Sector. Law Principles and Economic Efficiency” (2007), etc. She was a Professor and coordinator of Arbitration Course at Post Graduate São Paulo Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo – FGV (2004-20012). She is professor of Pos Graduate Course at FGV in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. She is the Brazilian Member of International Court of Arbitration _ICC ( International Chamber of Commerce) in Paris.
 
Josie Jardim

Josie Jardim is Associate General Counsel for Amazon Brazil. She was born in Sorocaba, Brazil. She received her J.D. in 1990 from Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP) and her master degree latu sensu in commercial contracts from the same university. In 2002, she completed further specialized studies at FGV.

She began her career in 1990 as assistant professor at the Catholic University of São Paulo and served as legal counsel for Splice Telecom and Promon, both in Brazil. Prior to joining Amazon in March 2013, Josie served as the Latin America General Counsel for GE (General Electric), where she worked for 8 years. Before that, she worked as Legal Director for Motorola for another 8 years, where she was responsible for the Southern Cone.  

Josie Jardim is a board member of the Instituto Pro Bono, a Brazilian organization that provides legal services on a pro bono basis. She is also the founder of Jurídico de Saias (Legal in Skirts), a group formed by over 1000 female in-house counsels.  Josie is the author of various articles with focus in the management of legal departments and the legal career.

Josie Jardim lives in São Paulo with her husband and has two kids (Victoria, 19 & Ricardo, 9).

Raquel is partner of Carvalho, Machado, Timm & Deffenti Advogados and is based in Porto Alegre, South Brazil. Her practice is centered on International Contracts, Corporate/M&A and Arbitration. She is responsible for the implementation of complex cross border projects, and advising in international corporate and contractual negotiations across South America. 

Raquel received her Master of Law at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, post–graduate studies in Civil Procedural Law at the Academia Brasileira de Direito Processual Civil – ABDPC and  a Law Degree at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Raquel is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English as well as advanced French.
