Ian comes from New Zealand. He has worked as a diplomat (for NZ), and then had a long career with the UK government, ending up as CEO of the UK's Patent Office (with stints in the EU and with the UN along the way). In 2009 he came to Queensland as DG of DEEDI (as was). From 2012 to earlier this year he headed an intelligence and cyber security agency in New Zealand, where he currently lives.
 
Giselle Hodgson

Giselle is a Partner at Deloitte and has over 15 years’ experience in providing innovative solutions for business transformation. She works with clients to transform their organisations and has deep skills in business strategy and operational effectiveness. She has a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology. Giselle is a passionate Queenslander who has lived and worked with some of the State’s largest organisations as well as working overseas for large multinational corporations. She is married, with a young daughter and the proud owner of a black Labrador.
 
Susan Middleditch

Susan Middleditch leads Health Support Queensland’s network of 4000 staff in delivering support services such as pathology, procurement, biomedical technology and payroll, to Queensland’s public health system. She has extensive experience driving successful organisational change in both the public and private sectors, as well as in strategic planning, risk management, human resource policy development and commercial finance. Her previous positions include two years as Deputy Director-General of Queensland Health’s System Support Services Division and, prior to this, Chief Finance Officer at the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation, where she was responsible for merging nine Queensland Government agencies into one cohesive and efficient department. A Certified Practising Accountant, Susan holds a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in accounting and is a Fellow of CPA Australia.

Cecily believes this exciting time of global economic paradigm shift is a great opportunity for women. Her upcoming book is on strategic executive career development for women, with strategies to lift gender equity in leadership.

Anna was appointed General Manager, GlaxoSmithKline NZ Ltd in May 2012 and is a commercially astute and inspirational leader. Anna began her career as a nurse and has more than 25 years experience in leading and managing business within the pharmaceutical sector. She has progressed through a variety of local, regional & global roles within New Zealand, Japan and Europe. Anna is passionate about developing talent and also mentors emerging leaders in Asia Pacific. She believes that in order for organisations to be successful, we need diversity of thought to truly reflect the communities in which we operate. This will only be achieved by increasing the representation of people from different backgrounds & cultures on boards and in top management positions.
 
Dr Jeannette Young

Dr Young is the Chief Health Officer for Queensland, a role she has filled since August 2005. As Chief Health Officer, she is responsible for such matters as health disaster planning and response; aero-medical retrieval services; licensing of private hospitals; policy regarding research; organ and tissue donation services; cancer screening services; communicable diseases; environmental health, preventive health and other population health services; blood, poisons and medicines. Dr Young is a member of numerous state and national committees and boards including the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute, the NHMRC, the AHPPC, the Jurisdictional Blood Committee, the Organ and Tissue Jurisdictional Advisory Committee.
