Welcome to the Junior Fellow/Medical Student Program

Be sure you’re part of this year’s sensational full-day Junior Fellow/Medical Student Program. Our extraordinary Program begins with an Advisory Council Breakfast Meeting, ends with a Social Mixer, and abounds with Roundtables, research contests, lectures, and simulations throughout the day!

7:00 am - 9:00 am           Junior Fellow/Medical Student Advisory Council Breakfast Meeting

All Junior Fellows and Medical Students are invited to attend the District II Junior Fellow Advisory Council Breakfast Meeting. This is an open session where Junior Fellow Section officers report on their projects and initiatives. You will also hear the latest activities from ACOG National and District II and opportunities available to members.

         Junior Fellow/Medical Student Roundtable Discussions

A popular program designed for Junior Fellows/Medical Students to interact in roundtable discussions with Fellow generalists/sub-specialists. Planned Roundtable topics include: Sub-specialties (MFM, GYN Onc, REI, MIGs, Family Planning), Generalist Practice, Applying to Residency, Advocacy and Financial Planning. Be sure to bring all your questions to this session and get answers from the experts!

As part of the Iffath Abbasi Hoskins, MD Junior Fellow Research Day Contest, this session provides the opportunity for District II Junior Fellows to showcase their research projects in the form of a poster presentation. Posters will be prominently displayed in the bustling Exhibit Hall and judged by the Junior Fellow Task Force on Awards.

Back to Basics Medical Student Lecture Contraception: The Options, Efficacy & Controversy

An overview course on the types of contraception and the best uses for each of those options. A lively discussion will be facilitated at the end of this session on a few hot topics in the state and U.S. Legislation regarding contraception.

Authors of the top scoring research abstracts for both the Iffath Abbasi Hoskins, MD Junior Fellow Research Day Contest and the Donald F. Richardson Memorial Prize Paper Award - as determined by the Junior Fellow Task Force on Awards – will be presenting their research to all Annual Meeting attendees Saturday afternoon. Come and join us as the Research Day Contest Oral Presentation winner is selected and announced. Winners of the Poster Session and Film Festival will be announced as well.
