Thursday is a travel day, so arrive at your leisure. The training will begin early Friday morning and will end by 5 p.m. Saturday. It is our expectation that you will participate in training until 5 p.m. Saturday. You are welcome to depart after this time or at your leisure on Sunday. Keep in mind that Saturday evening may be a good time to explore the destination or network with other district leaders.
Airline Reservations
When booking airfare through this registration site, Toastmasters International will pay for round-trip transportation costs at the lowest rate for a flight between the terminal nearest the training site and the terminal nearest the home of the officer. Your registration must be complete by Tuesday, November 1, 2016.
Once you complete the registration process, within 48 hours Worldview Travel will email you a copy of your requested airline itinerary for review, approval or revision. Be sure to respond to Worldview Travel within 24 hours or your reservation may be forfeited. Upon final approval of your travel arrangements, Worldview Travel will send you a ticketed confirmation.
Driving
If you drive to the training, you may request mileage reimbursement at the current mileage rate, not to exceed the amount of the lowest round-trip airfare rate. You must provide a supporting document from a source such as MapQuest or Google Maps when submitting your reimbursement form. If you carpool, only the driver is eligible for reimbursement.
Reimbursement Procedures
World Headquarters reimburses travel costs (air or mileage) as outlined in Policy 8.3 District Leader Expenses.
