The Conference Organisers are planning to end the conference with a session and the development of a statement on:


The statement will be built around the themes from the policy objectives in ‘Fair Society, Healthy Lives’:

•     Give every child the best start in life
•     Enable all children, young people and adults to maximize their capabilities and have control over their lives
•     Ensure a healthy standard of living for all
•     Create and develop healthy and sustainable places and communities
•     Strengthen the role and impact of ill health prevention
•     Effective evidence base on which to make decisions.

Information will be gathered from each session of the conference, the keynotes, the parallel sessions and the gateways.  Delegates will have an opportunity to put their ideas forward on notice boards throughout the conference on the mezzanine floor.  All of this information will be brought together for the final session, when all delegates will have the opportunity to talk to each other and put ideas forward.
 
After the conference, the actions will be pulled together in a Statement on Taking Action on Equity from the Start: Valuing our Children for wide use by delegates and their networks.
