Overview
This webinar will tell you what matters most to Ofsted inspectors when they look at leadership and management on inspection and how their focus is likely to change with the introduction of the new Education Inspection Framework (EIF). The EIF is being implemented by Ofsted in September 2019 for all post-16 education settings, including colleges, training providers, employer providers and local authorities. As part of this webinar, we will briefly consider key aspects of leadership and management within the new framework, such as curriculum design and strategy, performance management and continuing professional development (CPD), governance and safeguarding.
Objectives
At the end of this webinar, you will understand:
- the inspection context in which leadership and management will now be judged by inspectors
- how curriculum intent and implementation will be inspected
- why good governance is important as part of your leadership arrangements
- the crucial role played by highly effective CPD and performance management for your staff
- why creating the right culture amongst staff is now an important factor on inspection
- inspectors’ expectations regarding the management arrangements for safeguarding learners
