2012 Goodwill Enterprise OTG Career Fairs

Goodwill's Career Fairs
For more than 60 years, Goodwill has celebrated the annual Goodwill Industries Week during the first week of May, May 6-12 this year. Member Goodwills take advantage of this special week to do a number of things – donation campaigns, awards banquets, special messaging to local media – all designed to communicate the value, role and impact Goodwill has in communities.

This year Goodwills across North America are using this week to bring attention to Goodwill’s mission of job placement and job training by hosting local career fairs. Career fairs occurring across the continent during this week are a unique and powerful way to communicate Goodwill’s commitment to putting people to work!

Member Goodwill organizations already use a number of strategies to create access to opportunity for those they serve, including hosting career fairs. Goodwills create training-related career fairs as well as offer small, intimate hiring events for employers when a training class completes its graduations festivities. Other Goodwills, either on their own, or in partnership with other community organizations, host larger career fairs for the general public. These events are designed to create maximum access for job seekers and employers alike.
