What happens if circumstances change and I am unable to attend the tour after I have paid?

If your circumstances change and you can no longer attend, you must notify the organising manager in writing immediately. Refunds will be subject to the UDIA (Qld) 2016 International Tour of Excellence’s Terms & Conditions.

Can I attend only part of the tour?


No. The UDIA (Qld) 2016 International Tour of Excellence is a combined package and costs cannot be divided up per tour or per day.

Can I make my own accommodation arrangements?

As per the UDIA (Qld) 2016 International Tour of Excellence Terms & Conditions, costs include accommodation. Delegates are required to stay at the hotel included in the package. Should a delegate want to upgrade their room, or make additional accommodation arrangements for a guest/spouse, this will be at the delegate’s own expense.

What if I am unwell and require medical treatment whilst on tour?

We will endeavour to assist you in any and all ways possible to seek medical treatment whilst on the UDIA (Qld) 2016 International Tour of Excellence should you require it.

As per the event’s Terms & Conditions, delegates must sign a waiver to release UDIA (Queensland), their partners and affiliates, of all and any responsibility for the provision of medical treatment or payment of medical services.

As per the event’s Terms & Conditions, delegates are responsible for taking out their own travel insurance which in this situation, will cover delegates should they require medical assistance whilst on the UDIA (Qld) 2016 International Tour of Excellence.

Can I bring my partner on tour?


Delegates are welcome to have their partners accompany them to the tour destination.
  • It is the responsibility of delegates to book and cover the costs of flights and any additional accommodation or incidental expenses (including meals) for their partners

  • An accommodation package can be arranged on delegates’ behalf at delegates’ expense. Please contact Tina Waters at twaters@udiaqld.com.au at your earliest convenience.

  • Partners will not be included in site visits unless two full study tour packages are booked for each delegate and partner.

  • Should partners want to attend any social events, the UDIA (Qld) will do their best to accommodate this and delegates will be charged accordingly

Will there be free time for sightseeing/shopping/personal dinners etc…?

UDIA (Qld) aims to fully utilise your time in the United States, and as such offers a very full itinerary including some cultural experiences. Depending on the final itinerary, UDIA (Qld) will endeavour to provide free time for shopping, sightseeing and any other activities that delegates may wish to partake in.

Can I withdraw from any activity from time to time, to enjoy free time?

Attendance to any session is at all delegates’ discretion however the UDIA (Qld) encourages all delegates to attend all sessions, to appreciate the full value of the tour. Should you not wish to attend certain sessions, you must notify a UDIA (Qld) staff member at your earliest convenience.

Delegates will not be eligible for a refund of part refund, if they do not participate in a session(s).

Can I extend my trip before and/or after the UDIA (Qld) 2016 International Tour of Excellence?
