Dr Shakra is a consultant Neurologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He has particular interest in inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the central nervous system. He runs the clinic of Multiple sclerosis & Parkinson’s disease at SKMC.
  
Dr Shakra has graduated from medical school of Damascus University in 1992 and received his main training in general internal medicine and neurology subspecialty in the major university
hospitals.

He carries MD, MSc ,MRCP and FRCP  in medicine and neurology and additionally he has authored and coauthored many articles in in the field of neurology.

Aref Ali Al Shehhi is the Acting CEO, having been appointed to this position in November 2015 after serving as the Deputy CEO at SKMC for two years and the Medical Director of Abu Dhabi Rehabilitation Center for over two years. 

Al Shehhi holds a bachelor of science in medicine and surgery from Alexandria University, Egypt, and an MBA degree with honors from Abu Dhabi University, UAE. He is also a fellow in healthcare administration at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, US (2012-2013) and a fellow of the Canadian Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, FRCPC-Canada. He was selected among SEHA’s best 100 employees in the category of “Best Executive Director.”

Dr Manzoor Ahmed is an experienced Diagnostic Neuro-radiologist with more than 15 years of experience. Dr Ahmed got his medical degree from Khyber Medical College, Pakistan in 1995 and later, trained in Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA in Diagnostic Neuro-radiology in 2003-2004. Have been affiliated with same institution for most of his career including Cleveland Clinic in UAE . He is currently working in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE. 

Dr Ahmed is a passionate teacher and participant in academic activities. Has been involved as a speaker and organizer in multiple national and international meetings in the Gulf region. His special interests in Diagnostic neuroradiology are Acute Stroke Imaging, Multiple Sclerosis and Head & Neck Imaging. On the non-interpretive side, he is an ardent advocate for Appropriateness in Imaging. He believes “Radiology harbors much more potential than just images”.

Dr. Abu Baker Al Madani completed his undergraduate certificate in 1997 from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. In Gothernburg University, he was involved in teaching and contributed in research study with Dr. Anders Hamberger in neuroprotective agents in acute stroke. Then, he completed his Canadian Royal College in Neurology (FRCPC) in 2009. 

Dr. Madani had his residency at the University of Toronto which is ranked number 1 in Canada by Royal College of Canada, and ranked number 4 in the whole North America by American Academy of Neurology. He was personally involved in regional stroke program and he was involved in at least 500 stroke cases and 80 TPA cases. In his residency he also did one whole elective year which involves EEG, research, pathology and nerve conduction studies. By finishing the residency, he was able to manage neurological cases as general neurological cases as general neurologist in 2007. He has his fellowship in neuromuscular subspecialty from 2007 to 2009.

Dr. Alsaadi is a Chief Medical officer and the Chair of the Neurology Department at the American Center of Psychiatry & Neurology (ACPN). He was trained in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of California San Francisco and was a research fellow in Epilepsy there. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology and by the American Board of Neurology in Clinical Epilepsy.  

Before joining ACPN, Dr. Alsaadi was the Chief of the Neurology Department at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City for 11 years. He was previously an associate Professor of Neurology and the Director of the Adult Epilepsy Program and the Clinical Research Program at the University of California Davis. His research has focused on conducting drug study trials for new anti-epileptic drugs for patients with epilepsy, quality of life in patients with epileptic and non-epileptic disorders, as well as other chronic neurological disorders, neuropsychiatric co-morbidities with various neurological disorders. Dr. Alsaadi has been honored with several prestigious awards for his work in the field of epilepsy. He has served on the Advisory Board of the Northern California Epilepsy Foundation and on the membership committee of the American Epilepsy Society. He has served as the President of the Western Clinical Neurophysiology Society in the United Sates and as the Vice President of CEMA (Commission of the Eastern Mediterranean Affairs). He is currently the President of the Emirati League against epilepsy. He also serves at the Editorial Board for BMC Journal of Neurology and Journal of Neurosciences. He has authored and co-authored more than 50 papers and book chapters and has served as a peer-reviewer for more than 15 scientific journals.

Completed by MBBS degree from University of Peshawar Pakistan and then went to London for further formal training in medicine. I obtained Diploma in Internal medicine,in 1998 fromImperial College, Hammersmith hospital London. During this time also contributed to research in endocrinology in Hammersmith hospital UK. After completing MRCP in 2000 in London obtained Neurology Specialist training (CCST) in UK in 2010.

I have worked as a consultant neurologist in York Hospital before coming to Abu Dhabi in 2015.

I am currently working in SKMC as consultant neurologist.

I am a general neurologist with special interest in Headache disorders ,inflammatory and Neurodegenerative conditions including Multiple sclerosis.

I have obtained the Multiple Sclerosis Specialist Certification from American Professional Testing Corporation.

I have been awarded the clinical excellence award for my work with brain cancer patients in 2015 in York hospital.

I have been the author and co-author of many articles in neurology.

Victoria Ann Mifsud, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. She specializes in cerebrovascular disease and has extensive experience treating stroke and Transient Ischemic Attacks, as well as a wide spectrum of vasculopathies such as Moyamoya. 

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Mifsud worked as a Consultant Neurologist and Stroke Neurologist at the King’s College Hospital in London, UK.

Dr. Mifsud received her medical degree from the University of Malta Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Msida, Malta. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in G’Mangia, Malta, and in Neurology at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York in Buffalo, New York, US, where she also completed her fellowship in stroke medicine.

She completed her fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Louisiana State University Hospitals in New Orleans, Louisiana, US. Dr. Mifsud is American Board certified in neurology, vascular neurology and clinical neurophysiology. Dr. Mifsud is American Board certified in neurology, vascular neurology and clinical neurophysiology.

Dr. Beatrice Benedetti is a Staff Physician, MS Specialist Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. 

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in 2018, Dr. Benedetti worked as a Consultant Neurologist in Reggio Emilia (Italy). 

Dr. Benedetti received her medical degree from the renowned Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan (Italy). She completed her residency in Neurology at the same University, focusing on patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other demyelinating diseases. 

She gave a significant contribution to research in the MRI field in MS, working in prestigious neuroimaging laboratories in Milan (Italy), Oxford (UK), and New York (USA).

Dr. Suzan Noori is a senior consultant neurologist at University Hospital –sharjah(UHS) & assistant professor in the medical college of university of Sharjah.  She has Obtained MBBS (University of Khartoum); Clinical MD in Medicine (University of Khartoum).  She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Edinburgh (FRCP Edn.); a fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Glasgow (FRCP Glasg.)& Member of American Academy of Neurology (MAAN). Dr. Noori  holds conjoint academic responsibilities in the Medical College - university of Sharjah, and  an active member in the research group at the university. She also  has obtained post graduate degree in the management of multiple sclerosis from Leeds Metropolitan University.  

Her Key professional skills and activities include: Botulinum toxin Injections for chronic migraine & Therapeutic Botox for Dystonia and treatment of Spasticity), Intrathecal Baclofen pump refilling and programming for treatment of spasticity. Dr. Noori is a pioneer in using Botox for chronic migraine in UAE. She runs Botox training workshops locally & regionally. 

She is a member of many professional bodies locally; regionally and internationally as well as a member of many quality committees and task forces. She is one of the main founders, and currently; the head of the scientific committee of UAE MS support group. She has been actively involved in different meetings & forums as well as in the media and had coordinated regular campaigns for raising awareness for MS in her community.
