Registration is now open for the 2020 Kentucky Farm Bureau Young Farmer Leadership Conference, February 7-8, at the Holiday Inn-University Plaza in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This year’s pre-conference activity is an opportunity to visit the National Corvette Museum from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Several interactive workshops, interesting speakers, children’s activities and unique evening events have been planned for this year’s conference.
There will be a silent and live auction this year benefiting the Kentucky Farm Bureau Young Farmer Scholarship program. Young Farmer scholarships are funded entirely through monies raised during our live and silent auctions every two years. We are encouraging each Farm Bureau District to bring an item which can be included in the auction.

• TENTATIVE AGENDA•
The 2020 KFB Young Farmer Leadership Conference, designed to inform and strengthen Farm Bureau volunteers. Conference presentations will focus on a variety of ways to expand your operations. During the event, attendees will benefit from informative and interactive workshops including personal finance, farm and grain safety, your health, and business planning.
As with all Young Farmer Conferences, participants will be inspired and encouraged by a notable group of keynote, general session and workshop presenters.

Modifications to your 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference registration can be made via the online system until Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Should you cancel your 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference arrangements or circumstances arise that prevent you from attending your registration and extra event costs are all final and non-refundable after Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
If the 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference is officially cancelled, a refund is possible minus any penalties or non-refundable expenses that apply.
• LIVE AND SILENT AUCTION •
There will be a live and silent auction this year benefiting the Kentucky Farm Bureau Young Farmer Scholarship program. • HOTEL INFORMATION •
We will be collecting the full amount of the event costs from attendees at the time of registration. This will include registration fees, hotel arrangements ($119 plus tax/night minus onsite incidental costs), and optional activities costs (if applicable). The conference registration fee on or before Friday, December 20, 2019, is $150.00/adult and $80 for children ages 2-12. Afterwards, registration will increase to $175/adult and $90/child. Participants may register onsite, but hotel availability cannot be guaranteed after Tuesday, January 7, 2020 which is the online registration deadline.

Registration Modifications: Kentucky Farm Bureau will be collecting the full amount of 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference costs from attendees at the time of registration. This will include registration fees, ALL nights of hotel sleeping room costs (minus onsite incidental costs), and any additional activity costs. Modifications to your 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference registration requests can be made via the online system until Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 11:59 PM EST. Should you cancel your 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference arrangements or circumstances arise that prevent you from attending your registration and extra event costs are all final and non-refundable after Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 11:59 PM EST.
Payment Information: All payments are due upon receipt. Check payments must be received in the State Office by the 7th business day from the date the registration is submitted online. If the State Office has not received payment by the 7th business day from the date the registration is submitted online, the registration will be cancelled within our system. Please note that along with the registration cancellation, all arrangements reserved by the original registration will be removed and the attendee or county contact must contact the State Office to reactivate the registration. No spots will be held based on the original registration. If the registration deadline has passed, you must contact the State Office to see about registering for the event. No registrations or arrangements for an event are guaranteed after the registration deadline.
Attendee Responsibility: By attending the 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference, the attendee is required to follow all regulations and policies of the hotels, transportation providers, and venues utilized during the event. The attendee is responsible for any damages, costs, or fees associated with not adhering to the policies set forth by any vendor used during the event.
Customary Behavior: Your Name Badge serves as your ticket to the 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference and is a revocable license. The ticket bearer agrees to abide by all rules, policies and regulations established by Kentucky Farm Bureau. Kentucky Farm Bureau may revoke this license without refund and eject or refuse entry to the bearer for violation of its rules, illegal activity, misconduct or failure to comply with any and all security measures. By use of this ticket, the bearer waives any claims that the bearer might have against Kentucky Farm Bureau.
Media Notice: By attending the 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference the attendee grants permission to be photographed or videotaped by Kentucky Farm Bureau or its official photographer/videographer during the event. The resulting photographs or videos may be used by Kentucky Farm Bureau for promotion of our events. By attending this event, the attendee consents to such use without remuneration or the opportunity to inspect the use of any photograph or videotape. In addition, many KFB events are newsworthy and therefore covered by outside news organizations. By attending this event, you agree that outside news organizations may utilize photos, audio and video of you as a part of their coverage.
Cancellation: If the 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference is officially cancelled, a refund is possible minus any penalties or non-refundable expenses that apply.
Travel Delays/Disruptions: Kentucky Farm Bureau is not liable for any delay or disruption of travel that leads to additional expenses for the attendee. Any additional expenses incurred are the responsibility of the attendee.
Travel Disclaimer: Bowling Green, KY tax rates, parking costs, airline baggage costs (if applicable), and fuels surcharges (if applicable) are subject to change, and Kentucky Farm Bureau cannot guarantee those rates at the time of travel. The participant waives any claim against KFB for any damages to or loss of property or injury to or death of person that is due to any act of negligence of any hotel or other person rendering any services or accommodations during the trip. KFB shall not be responsible for any delays, substitutions of equipment or any act or omission whatsoever by the carrier.
Rooming Special Requests: Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation cannot guarantee all room requests as they are submitted by registrants. We will turn in all room type and special requests to the Holiday Inn Bowling Green, but fulfillment is based on the hotel’s discretion and availability. Please be aware that if you do not arrive for the first night of your hotel reservation, you will be considered a “no-show” by the hotel, and the remainder of your reservation will be cancelled. Availability cannot be guaranteed after that point, and no refunds will be given.
Rooming Notice: If your occupancy level increases above your original reservation, you could be subject to additional hotel charges post event. Fulfillment is subject to hotel availability and terms of occupancy set forth by the Holiday Inn. Any additional requests that incur additional charges by the hotel will be charged to attendees at checkout. Please be aware that all requests for sleeping rooms are made on a first-come, first-served basis, and if a change needs to be made to your request, we will notify you immediately. In an overflow situation, KFB reserves the right to place you in another hotel with similar accommodations, although the room rate cannot be guaranteed at a different hotel property.
Event Activity Participation Disclaimer: Please be aware that by choosing to participate in an optional activity or tour as a part of the 2020 Young Farmer Leadership Conference, the attendee waives the right to seek damages from Kentucky Farm Bureau, the provider of the optional activity or tour, and/or the land owner where the optional activity or tour takes place.
