All foreign nationals entering India are required to possess a valid international travel document in the form of a national passport with a valid visa obtained from an Indian Mission or Post abroad. Passport should have at least six months validity from the date of arrival in India. The passport should have at least two blank pages for stamping by the Immigration Officer.

Visa application process

  • Register for the GDN Annual Meeting, completing the required visa information questions. 
    As organisers we must supply delegate details to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
  • Apply for your visa at
    ​​​​​​Apply for the e-conference visa and please start your visa application in good time to allow for the approval process. (You can apply for an ordinary conference visa but this would mean a visit to the Indian Embassy in your nearest city).
    • The visa application form asks for some information about the organiser and a reference in India. ​​​​​​​Download this document to help you respond to these questions.
    • You will be asked to upload a clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs [download here] and a clearance from the the Ministry of External Affairs (available soon)
    • A letter of invitation - please contact Amit Rohira  to arrange your letter.
  • When you receive these documents you will be able to log back into your visa application, upload the documents and complete your application. 
  • You will receive by email an Electronic Travel Authority.
