Lake Placid has a long tradition of welcoming people from all over the world. Having hosted two Winter Olympic Games, 1932 and 1980, Lake Placid is often thought of as a winter destination, but those who experience our summer will quickly realize how diverse this historic mountain village is. From mountain biking to museums, from fly fishing to theatre, from horseback riding to Adirondack pack basket weaving, the possibilities are endless.
