However, out of an abundance of caution for our members and due to the current Coronavirus situation, it was no longer advisable or feasible to hold the conference.

Herman Aguinis | Research Credibility in the Wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic
Avram Tucker Distinguished Scholar and Professor of Management, The George Washington University School of Business
Herman Aguinis is the Avram Tucker Distinguished Scholar and Professor of Management at The George Washington University School of Business. He is currently serving as Academy of Management Vice President and Program Chair.
His problem-focused and interdisciplinary research addresses the acquisition and deployment of talent and organizational research methods. A native of Argentina, his professional and life agenda is to have an impact on the academic community, but also on society at large. The November 2019 Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers Report ranked him among the 112 most cited Economics and Business researchers in the world. He has published more than 160 journal articles (e.g., AMJ, AMR, JOM, SMJ, ORM, JAP) and nine books including Performance Management for Dummies (2019), Performance Management (4th edition, 2019), Applied Psychology in Talent Management (8th edition, with Wayne F. Cascio, 2019), and Regression Analysis for Categorical Moderators. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Management and Past President of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management.
He is the recipient of the 2017 Losey Award by the Society for Human Resource Management Foundation for lifetime achievement in human resource research, the AOM Research Methods Division Distinguished Career Award for lifetime contributions, and the AOM Practice Theme Committee Scholar Practice Impact Award for his impact on policy making and managerial and organizational practices. He received seven best-article-of-the-year awards from Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Organizational Behavior (twice), Academy of Management Perspectives, and Management Research. He served as editor-in-chief of Organizational Research Methods and guest editor of Journal of Management and Personnel Psychology. He has served or currently serves on the editorial board of 25 US-, France-, Spain-, South Africa-, and Brazil-based journals. His research has been featured by media in North America, Latin America (e.g., Mexico, Argentina, Perú), and Europe including Forbes, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Bloomberg Businessweek, USA Today, and many others.

Gustavo Perez Berlanga

Gustavo Perez Berlanga has been very successful in implementing high impact sustainability projects in one of the leading restaurant chains in Mexico. Under his leadership, he has eradicated poverty for thousands of people nationwide and has programs that attend 16 sustainable development goals. He has three masters degrees and a bachelors degree in administration and finance at a major university in Mexico. He is a worldwide speaker, guest professor at Harvard University and a masters degree lecturer at Anahuac University, Mexico. He is a former member of the Board of the Global Compact NY and the former president of the network in Mexico. He is a counselor in several NGOs and author of three books, the last one about eradicating poverty among coffee producers in Chiapas, Mexico.
He has received several accolades for his leadership in social responsibility. He was the recipient of the Social Leadership Award from the Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Research Institute and was named by Spain’s Corresponsables magazine as one of the most influential leaders in the sector. He also received the Benemérita Azul Award from the University of Puebla, was named one of the 2017 SDG Pioneers by UN Global Compact, and was selected as one of the 100 most influential leaders in sustainability by the Real Leaders magazine. He is married, has two daughters, and loves to play tennis.
