About MWDI Awards
Māori Women's Development Inc is a unique, indigenous financial institution formed by Māori women, controlled, managed and operated by Māori women, for the economic development of Māori women and their whānau. In 2018, MWDI decided to bring back their awards programme after a 10 year reprieve. It was hugely successful, with over 80 entries across the 14 awards categories in the first year. With two awards seasons now successfully executed, these awards are the flagship event on the MWDI calendar.

2020 Awards Cancelled
We made the tough decision to cancel the 2020 awards season for a multitude of reasons, the main one being the affects Covid-19 has had on our small Maori businesses. The board of trustees feel that it would be imprudent of us to host the awards this year when so many of our businesses are no longer operating.
We hope to welcome you all back in 2021!
