The ARS is an excellent opportunity to meet colleagues and discuss and share new research. The ARS is proudly considered the foremost event for research in supply chain management and logistics (SCML). It is an open event, created to bring scholars from all over the world and from all disciplines into the SCML discussion.

The 2020 symposium will embrace research from all areas of business connected to SCML. CSCMP is excited to facilitate such an event, examining the past, present, and future innovations that continue to advance our discipline.

There are two registration options available:
  1. Register for just the ARS; or
  2. Register for the EDGE conference and attend both the ARS and the EDGE Conference and Exhibition.
 

An EDGE Registration Includes:

Academic Research Symposium (both practitioners and service providers are welcome to attend)

  • Access to more than 95 education sessions
  • Evening receptions on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (includes hors d'oeuvres and drink tickets)
  • Access to the Supply Chain Exchange exhibition
  • Full breakfast and lunch on Monday and Tuesday
  • Brunch on Wednesday
  • Women at Work session
  • 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) - for SCProTM certification holders
  • $995 for CSCMP Academic Members/ $2,495 for non-members

An ARS Registration Includes:

  • Live panel discussions with the supply chain field's top researchers and academics
  • Access to over 40 different educational sessions offering the newest and most relevant research in the field of supply chain and logistics
  • The Meet the Academics reception the evening of Saturday, September 20, 2019 – 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

All academic submissions and nominations will be accepted March 1, 2020 – June 1, 2020.  


2020 Academic Research Symposium Call for Papers

All research submissions (papers, abstracts, poster sessions) will be evaluated on originality, clarity, research, design, theoretical and practical contribution. We are especially interested in papers related to supply chain management and its various disciplines, such as logistics and transportation, marketing, operations, and purchasing. Only complete research papers will be considered for the E. Grosvenor Plowman Award, which is awarded for the best research paper of the Academic Research Symposium.

The online submission period is open from March 1, 2020 - June 1, 2020.

2020 Donald J. Bowersox Doctoral Symposium Nominations

All research submissions (papers, abstracts, poster sessions) will be evaluated on originality, clarity, research, design, theoretical and practical contribution. We are especially interested in papers related to supply chain management and its various disciplines, such as logistics and transportation, marketing, operations, and purchasing. Only complete research papers will be considered for the E. Grosvenor Plowman Award, which is awarded for the best research paper of the Academic Research Symposium.

The online submission period is open from March 1, 2020 - June 1, 2020.

2020 Doctoral Dissertation Award Submissions

The 2019 Doctoral Dissertation Award (DDA) is open to all who will have completed their doctoral work in a field related to functions within the supply chain between January 1, 2019 and June 1, 2020. If you have already accepted a position at a college or university, you may still apply.

To be considered eligible, candidates MUST be a member of CSCMP and follow the criteria and formatting guidelines and submit a completed application form to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP).

The online submission period is open March 1, 2020 – June 1, 2020.
 
 

Please note: The Academic Research Symposium is a free event to those registered for CSCMP EDGE.  

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations received by 11:59 pm CST will be refunded: 100% (by July 15, 2020) and 50% (August 15, 2020). No refunds will be accepted after August 16, 2019. All Cancellations must be made by e-mail to conference@cscmp.org. CSCMP memberships are nontransferable and never refunded. Cancellation of travel and hotel reservations are the sole responsibility of the registrant.
