Summary

The aim of this summit is to provide a platform for college leadership at a range of levels to debate and discuss some of the key questions facing the college sector as it faces a period of significant change for its communities and learners. The summit allows for us to stop and think about what we are doing, how we are doing it, and why.

The workshops allow for participants to debate, discuss, challenge and reflect so that our collective thinking through some of this change can help us collaboratively find ways of working that support our current and future learners.

The four workshop topics chosen this year explore the following questions:

  1. What is the purpose of colleges?
  2. What does the future of learning look like?
  3. What is collective leadership and collaboration and why do we even need them?
  4. Are we taking equality seriously enough?

Please see programme for workshop descriptions.

Our contributors will start the debate by posing think pieces based on their experience and expertise, setting out their own views on their specific question of choice. Think pieces will be sent to participants prior to the summit.
