As the Director, Corporate Affairs and HP Company Foundation, Marlon Evans leads HP’s global community engagement team. His goal is to engage and activate HP’s employees around the world to get involved in their communities. He also oversees the HP Company Foundation’s grant-making activities, including Matter to a Million, a $7 million partnership with non-profit Kiva. Marlon received his BA in Political Science and a MA in Sociology from Stanford University. Upon graduation, he worked at Stanford’s Office of Undergraduate Admission and Office of Medical Development for four years. Following his tenure at Stanford, Marlon served as the Director of Partnerships at the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP) Foundation. Most recently he spent five years as the Executive Director of All Stars Helping Kids, a national community foundation based in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to promoting a safe, healthy and rigorous learning environment for disadvantaged children. Marlon currently serves on the National Board of Directors of Playworks, a national non-profit that believes in the power of play to bring out the best in every kid.
