Pat Gottfried is an effective leader with extensive experience in strategic and operational planning and implementation, corporate and community relations, board governance, fiscal management, fund development, and volunteer management. Pat is adept at developing and managing relationships with grassroots community groups as well as with leaders and stakeholders engaged in national and international initiatives. Pat Gottfried assumed her current roles with Apollo Education Group in 2009. She oversees the philanthropic strategies, partnerships and contributions for Apollo Education Group and the University of Phoenix Foundation. In addition, Pat oversees Apollo Education Group’s Women’s Leadership Initiative-an initiative dedicated to developing diverse, talented and capable leaders through group learning on theory, strategic projects and mentoring. The initiative extends beyond the parameters of traditional initiatives to influence the culture and future leadership structure of the business. Under Pat’s leadership Apollo Education Group continues to be recognized as one of America’s most community-minded companies in The Civic 50, an annual initiative that identifies and recognizes companies for their commitment to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.
