An Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion bobsledder, Steve’s leadership has driven Classroom Champions to revolutionize our ability to give back by building relationships through technology. Classroom Champions is an international, technology based education and mentorship NGO impacting thousands of students across the U.S., Canada, and Costa Rica. Mentoring thousands of students and working directly with hundreds of teachers, Classroom Champions was founded in 2009 by Steve and his sister, Dr. Leigh Parise (Phd – Education/Social Policy). Over 60 Olympians, Paralympians, and Olympic Medalists have mentored students in their home countries over the course of entire school years, resulting in measured improvements in student perseverance and goal setting ability, classroom engagement, digital literacy, and interpersonal skills.
