Mandar has a BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Mumbai (India) and an MS in Petroleum Engineering from University of Tulsa (USA). For the past 14 years, Mandar has worked at Shell International in many technical roles in chemical engineering, systems design, production chemistry and competitive intelligence. Currently he is part of Shell’s GameChanger Social innovation program whose mission is to provide seed funding to early stage, novel ideas that solve social and environmental challenges and create shared value – for Shell, host communities and society at large. Mandar also volunteers his time to teach leadership programs for the International Association for Human Values (www.iahv.org) a non-profit, humanitarian NGO. Mandar was inducted in the prestigious Ashoka League of Intrapreneurs for developing and delivering an innovation learning program at Shell called EMPOWER that uses meditation practices to nurture personal creativity and innovation. So far, over 2,000 employees at Shell offices in the several countries have gone through the Empower program. Mandar has been a thought leadership speaker at Tedx, London Business School, MIT and was recently interviewed by Knowledge@Wharton for his pioneering work of enabling innovation at work.
